Our extensive Research and Development facilities in Hamburg allow us to offer a broad range of expertise on Retail Fuels and Automotive / Industrial Lubricants as well as newer sources of transportation energy, e.g. electricity, bio fuels or hydrogen.
The Trading & Supply business steers and operates one of the most complex supply chains in the market. The teams in Hamburg and Rotterdam focus on the German, Austrian and Swiss market. The teams in Hamburg are responsible for various fields such as depot management, road transport, rail logistics, deal making, inland trading, business-to-business sales and marketing, pricing and sales strategy. To ensure our future success, we keep ourselves in constant change and drive innovative projects in the areas of digitalisation and sustainability. To manage this change, we search for a motivated and open-minded Graduate who wants to proactively find and design complex solutions together with a variety of stakeholders and in a competitive market environment.

What are the challenges of a Business Analyst Trading & Supply
To get onboard, you will start working with the Rail Operations team during the first six months of the program. Supporting the daily operational business here will enable you to understand our supply chain and to use the experience gained to run and support valuable optimization and digitalisation projects.
Based on the knowledge gained, you will start working for the Commercial Fuels Strategy team. During these twelve months, you will support the team in identifying and delivering various strategic projects affecting our business-to-business sales channel. In that area, it is key to get ourselves ready to meet the needs of tomorrow’s customers by driving digitalization, sustainability and further strategic topics.
To ensure you gain a broad understanding of Trading & Supply during your Graduate program, we will support you in identifying an assignment that fits your development for the last 18 months of the program. After that, you are ready to accelerate your career in Trading & Supply.
Who we are looking for
The Trading & Supply Graduate program is a perfect fit for the following profiles:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or an economics-hybrid, supply chain management or business informatics/data science • Already gained first work experience as working student or intern (or similar) • Excellent team player and communicational skills • Enthusiasm and drive as well as the ability to work independently • Affinity for data, analyses and digital trends • Open-minded, enthusiastic and creative when it comes to developing new ideas • Commercial mindset and customer focus • Good English and German language skills (min. B2 level) • First experience in methodologies like Lean, Design Thinking or scrum would be beneficial
