LSU FOOTBALL POSTGAME NOTES LSU (8‐4, 4‐4 SEC) at Texas A&M (7‐5, 3‐5 SEC) November 27, 2014 – Kyle Field (College Station, Texas)

1. LSU’s game captains were 70 La’el Collins, 41 Travis Dickson, 85 Dillon Gordon and 38 Jamie Keehn 2. LSU lost the toss. Texas A&M received the opening kickoff and LSU defended the South end zone. 3. LSU and Texas A&M met for the 53rd time on the gridiron and has a 30‐20‐3 advantage over A&M. LSU has won the last four games over A&M dating back to the 2011 Cotton Bowl. 4. LSU is now 26‐2 following a loss and have not lost three games in a row during the Les Miles era (2005‐14). 5. LSU played on Thanksgiving Day for the first time since 1983. LSU is now 11‐10‐5 in these games. 6. LSU secured its 15th‐stragith eight‐win season. It’s the longest active streak in college football and the longest such streak in school history. 7. LSU moved to 7‐4 under Les Miles following a scheduled open date. 8. LSU moved to 54‐9 under Les Miles after winning the turnover battle. The defense came up with an interception and special teams forced a fumble. 9. LSU has had at least one true freshman starter in 47 of its last 52 games dating back to the 2011 season opener versus Oregon. The Tigers had three true freshmen start during tonight’s game vs. Texas A&M: DT Davon Godchaux, RB Leonard Fournette, and S Jamal Adams. 10. LSU’s defense limited the Texas A&M offense to 228 total yards– its second‐lowest output in the 2014 season (Texas A&M had 172 total yards against Alabama). Texas A&M had 144 passing yards and 84 rushing yards, the third lowest in both categories on the season. 11. LSU had 384 rushing yards, which is the most rushing yards against an SEC opponent since Nov. 1, 1997, when LSU had 400 in a 63‐28 victory at Kentucky. a. 384 yards is the fourth‐most rushing yards against an SEC opponent since 1966. 12. LSU had 491 total yards of offense, which is the most in an SEC game since the Tigers totaled 517 against Texas A&M in 2013. 13. LSU is 57‐0 under Les Miles when rushing for 100 yards and holding opponents to less than 100 yards. 14. LSU dominated time of possession with a mark of 41:13, which was the largest time of possession for the Tigers since Oct. 18, 2003 in a 33‐7 win at South Carolina

Individual 15. Starting quarterback ran for 119 yards. a. His total rushing yards was the most for an LSU quarterback since ran for 100 against Tennessee. He is just the ninth LSU quarterback to run for over 100 yards in a game. He joins Alvin Dark (142), Paul Lyons (139), Carl Otis Trimble (133), Nelson Stokley (118), Lynn Amedee (114), (101), Saulcer Harris (101), and Jefferson (100). 16. RB Leonard Fournette ran for a career high 146 yards. a. His 46‐yard run in the fourth quarter put him over 100 yards. It was the fourth time the freshman ran over 100 yards in a game. b. Fournette ran for a 22‐yard touchdown to tie the game at seven with 4:33 left in the first half. 17. Fournette and Jennings each rushed for over 100 yards. a. It’s the first time two LSU players have rushed for over 100 yards in a game since Jeremy Hill and Terrence Magee combine to rush for 251 yards last season against Furman. 18. PK Trent Domingue attempted and made his first career field goal and PAT against Texas A&M. a. In total, Domingue was 2‐for‐3 on field goals and 2‐2 on PATS. b. Domingue connected on a 31‐yard field goal with 00:08 left in the half and a 27‐yard field goal with 7:25 left in the third quarter. 19. WR John Diarse caught his second career touchdown with 00:34 left in the first half. He also tallied a career‐high three receptions. 20. Devin Voorhies forced a fumble with first 00:34 in the first half. a. It was his first career forced fumble. 21. After missing his first field goal of the game, PK Colby Delahoussaye kicked a 43‐yard field goal to give LSU a 23‐17 lead with 2:07 left in the game. 22. CB Jalen Collins recorded his first interception of the season to seal the game with 1:21 left. It was Collins’ third career interception. 23. S Jamal Adams and DL Jermauria Rasco led the Tigers with eight tackles each. Adams’ mark of eight was a career high. 24. Rasco also led the defense with two tackles for loss, which was a career high.
