R E G U L A T I O N S
1. Organizers – Ministry of Sport and Youth of Georgia and Georgian chess federation.
2. Tournaments :
- Open tournament for any player .
- Boys under – 8 (born after 1 January, 2005)
- Girls under – 8 (born after 1 January, 2005)
- Boys under – 10 (born after 1 January, 2003)
- Girls under – 10 (born after 1 January, 2003)
- Boys under – 12 (born after 1 January, 2001)
- Girls under – 12 (born after 1 January, 2001)
3. Mode – 9 rounds, Swiss system.
- Open tournament: The time limit is 40 moves in 90 minutes, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game. An increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from 1 move will be added after each move.
- Youth tournaments: 90 minutes for each players plus 30 seconds per move starting from the first move.

5. Ranking & Prize fund & Entry fees - ranking is determined based on the number of points scored. In case of a draw, the following systems will be used
• Median Buchholz 1, the highest number wins;
• Buchholz, the highest number wins;
• Progressive score
• The greater number of victories
Total Prize Fund – 35 000 lari (about 21 200 USD)
Prizes will be taxed according to Georgian Legislation – 20%

In case of a tie money prizes will be not shared.
By the results of their pupils in U8, U10, U12 B&G category, coaches will be reward prize money. Coaches, who wish to participate in the contest, should perform the list of pupils by the second round. In the coaches contest in each age category must participate none less than 5 pupils of each coach.
The winners of all tournaments will be awarded with Nona Gaprindashvili’s Cup and diplomas.

6. Accommodation - Men’ with Elo more than 2600 (restricted number) and women’s will Elo more than 2450 (restricted number) will get free accommodation with FB.
