HOW THINGS WORK

WOOD BURNING STOVE The logs need to be cut to size using the axe provided. Place the logs on the large chopping log (located outside the yurt) to make some small kindling.

Using the matches and firelighters provided, light the firelighter in the main stove opening and feed in the kindling keeping it as tightly packed as possible. The fire may smoke slightly but as the fire gets hotter the smoke will decease.

DO NOT leave the fire unattended.

SHOWER There is a switch under the shower and also on the shower head - ensure these are both switched on.

To ensure the pressure is sufficient hold the shower head down. Turn on the water tap and the shower should start up. It is important to get the water pressure at the right level. Due to a fairly week water pressure, the shower may not work so well if other showers, toilets or the hot tub are being used at the same time.

If the shower is not working, check the gas is ‘open’ on the gas bottle which is located at the rear of the shower unit.

HOT TUB DO NOT LIGHT A FIRE IF HOT TUB IS NOT FULL WITH WATER It is essential that the water level is above the metal …...before lighting a fire.

Lighting a fire: Remove the metal lid and place several logs at the bottom of the stove under the chimney (to the right hand side of the stove). Light a firelighter and place on top of the logs. Place more logs and kindling on top of the firelighter keeping the wood tightly packed. Ensure the lid on the stove is open by approximately 1-2 inches. With the cover on the hot tub it will take approximately 3-4 hours for the water to get to a warm temperature.
