Zurich Classic Scoring Records
Zurich Classic of New Orleans Record Book (est. 2017, thru 2019) *2017 & 2018 Format Information: An historic change was made to the format of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in 2017, making the event a two-player team event featuring Foursomes (alternate shot) during the first and third rounds and Four-ball (best ball) during the second and fourth rounds. A change was made at the 2018 Zurich Classic of New Orleans , with the two formats switching rotations. Rounds one and three in the two-player team event featured the Four-ball (best ball) format, while the second and fourth rounds used the Foursomes (alternate shot) format. Since the formation of the PGA TOUR (1968), the Zurich Classic became the first official event to utilize Foursomes as part of a team competition. The 2017 Zurich Classic was the first official PGA TOUR team event in 36 years. Before that, the last official PGA TOUR team event was the 1981 Walt Disney World National Team Championship held at the Magnolia, Palm and Lake Buena Vista courses at Disney. Vance Heafner and Mike Holland won that title. The tournament became an individual stroke-play event in 1982. The Zurich Classic awards FedExCup points and official money and counts as an official victory for the members of the winning team. Nicholas Lindheim Rolls in 35-Footer for Playoff Victory at the DAP Championship
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Nicklaus Parker September 24, 2017 (904) 806-4582 Final-Round Leaderboard Pos. Name Score 1 Nicholas Lindheim 64-69-68-71—272 (-8) 2 Chesson Hadley 71-64-68-69—272 (-8) Rob Oppenheim 68-69-68-67—272 (-8) 4 Martin Piller 67-70-71-65—273 (-7) Nicholas Lindheim rolls in 35-footer for playoff victory at the DAP Championship CLEVELAND, Ohio – Nicholas Lindheim described the 35-footer that rammed into the back of the hole and dropped as “destiny,” but it was also his redemption. After falling in a playoff a year ago at the DAP Championship, he poured in that lengthy birdie on the first playoff hole Sunday to defeat Rob Oppenheim and Chesson Hadley for his second career victory. “I think last year I was just content being in the playoff,” Lindheim said. “I played it like six inches outside the right edge. I didn’t say firm it, but I ended up firming it and it was destiny. That’s all I can say.” The victory was particularly satisfying considering he nearly gave it away. After a birdie on the 16th hole to take a two-shot lead, he finished bogey-bogey and had to hole a 4-foot putt on the 72nd hole to pencil in his spot in the playoff. When that putt went in, he went into the playoff feeling like he had nothing to lose. “Golf is so hard, just controlling your emotions is one thing and then swinging a club with all those thoughts in your head. -

Former US Open Champion Lucas Glover Takes
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Stewart Moore September 21, 2018 (904) 540-2765 Second-Round Leaderboard Pos. Name Scores 1 Lucas Glover 64-64—128 (-14) 2 Denny McCarthy 64-65—129 (-13) 3 Cameron Tringale 63-67—130 (-12) Former U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover takes 36-hole lead at Web.com Tour Championship ATLANTIC BEACH, Florida – Lucas Glover entered the Web.com Tour Finals with the likely safety net of a PGA TOUR medical extension but still in search of a victory and a guaranteed card for the 2018-19 season. The Greenville, South Carolina, native posted back-to-back rounds of 64 at the Web.com Tour Championship to reach 14-under par at host Atlantic Beach Country Club, good for a one-shot lead heading into Saturday’s third round of the Web.com Tour’s season-ending event. Glover played brilliant golf over the opening 36 holes in Atlantic Beach, recording 14 birdies against zero bogeys to finish the halfway point at 14-under par. After starting Friday’s second round in the afternoon wave, Glover parred his opening four holes before notching birdies on 14, 17 and 18 to turn in 3-under 33. Birdies on Nos. 1, 4, 6 and 7 vaulted him into the lead at 14-under par before he closed with pars on Nos. 8 and 9 to round out a closing 31 and a second-round 64. “Similar to yesterday, just gave myself a lot of chances and just converted a bunch of opportunities. Drove it a little better today and I’m hitting my irons a little worse, but same result, so pretty happy obviously,” he said after his round. -
