International Baccalaureate Pre K-8 The Annunciation Spirit Newsletter IB World School • Minneapolis, MN • Fall 2018 We’re Excited to Announce We Are Now an Official IB World School! Over the past few years, Annunciation has been on a journey to build on the strong tradition our school has had for almost 100 years. Our goal is to continue to form amazing, faithful young people who will make a difference in the world. To do this in the 21st century requires innovation and new approaches to education. Our MNSAA strategic plan created an ambitious road map to get us there.

Part of our strategic direction has been the implementation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Through this process, we have had the opportunity to review just about every aspect of our school – processes, policies, curriculum, standards, teaching methods, culture and more. It has helped us become a better school – not only for our students, but for our teachers, staff and parents, too. For the past three years, we have been learning, adapting, growing, and becoming an IB school.

In June, we received notification that we were accepted as an official IBorld W School. Annunciation Catholic School is proud to take its place among this amazing group of innovative, high-performing schools worldwide. This is a great achievement, especially for a Catholic school. Our alumni, parishioners, community and supporters can be proud!

Just how far will they go.
