Beverley’s delightful Edwardian Art Gallery is home to the Champney Collection featuring works by leading British artists practising in the Pre-Raphaelite mode including Arthur Hughes, Helen Allingham, Albert Goodwin and Sir William Russell Flint.

Following his death in 1958, Frederick Elwell R.A. bequeathed a considerable number of paintings to the gallery, including works by his talented wife Mary. This enabled Beverley to boast the largest single collection of works by this renowned and distinguished British artist.
