Savaterre is a small vineyard, located within view of the snow capped Victorian Alps, just outside the historic town of Beechworth. Our wines are the deliberate result of traditional, low input winemaking. This allows the characteristics of the vineyard and vintage to express themselves fully. The vineyard is close planted, ultra low yielding. Grapes are handpicked with fermentation by indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured in the very best French oak barriques for up to 2 years. Founded in 1978 and based in Coldstream, Yarra Valley Oakridge Wines is a multi-award winning winery. With around 25 Yarra Valley vintages under his belt, head winemaker David Bicknell has brought a wealth of experience and expertise to the table since 2002. The ‘Over The Shoulder’ range offers wines of both accessibility and freshness at a great price point. The Local Vineyard Series (LVS) is made from single vineyards and are more complex and structured with an emphasis on definition and length. The 864 series is made up of Single Block Wines and features the best wines of the estate. They reward some ageing. In 2019 the winery retained its much-prized 5-star rating from James Halliday for the tenth year running.

Born in the 1990s through Drew Dowie and Norm Doole’s frustration at having to send their fruit to other wineries to vinify, Dowie Doole came to set a precedent for McLaren Vale. Peter Lehmann became part of Barossa legend when he established a winery in 1979 to protect the livelihood of the Barossa growers facing financial ruin. In 1982, he put his name behind his promise with the launch of Peter Lehmann Wines. Today, around 150 established growers supply fruit from some of the best vineyards across Barossa.

In 1997 Phil Sexton arrived in the Yarra Valley in search of altitude, aged soils, slopes of exposure, regular rainfall and cool to cold night-time temperatures and a gentle breeze off the protecting mountain ranges.
