SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE 1.1.1 The Event will be known as the “ITM SuperSprint” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise races 28 & 29 of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at Park Raceway, Pukekohe, Auckland on 2nd – 4th November 2018.

1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS 1.2.1 The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code including Appendices of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. 1.2.2 Event Status: Restricted International.

1.5 CIRCUIT DETAILS 1.5.1 Track Length: 2.91 kilometres 1.5.2 Direction: Clockwise 1.5.3 Track Density: Supercars – 40 1.5.4 Notice Board: Located at the base of the Timing building at the rear, next to the Race Control Tower. 1.5.5 Stewards Office: Located in a temporary office behind the Race Control Tower. 1.5.6 DRD Office: Located on the first floor of the Race Control Tower. 1.5.7 Control Line: Opposite the Race Control Tower across Pit Exit.

ADMINISTRATION

2.1 ENTRIES 2.1.1 Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form. 2.1.2 Administration checking will commence at 0800hrs (NZDT) on Thursday 1st November 2018. 2.1.3 Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Office prior to the commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Thursday 1st November 2018. 2.1.4 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1700hrs (NZDT) on Thursday 1st November 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time. 2.1.5 Each Team is required to complete and sign a MotorSport New Zealand Indemnity Form for this Event, which must be completed and returned to Motorsport Operations prior to the commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Thursday 1st November 2018. The Indemnity Form is included with these Supplementary Regulations.

2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING 2.2.1 The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. 2.2.2 Accreditation will be required from Thursday 1st November 2018. 2.2.3 Each entry will receive 3 passes for the Team’s car park (Car Park A).

2.2.4 Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 transit car pass for the sole purpose of delivering supplies. 2.2.4.1 Caterers with a transit car pass must park at Car Park A. and as such will be allocated a Car Park A car pass that will need to be displayed.

2.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS 2.3.1 The Accreditation Centre is located at the Main Gate. 2.3.2 The Accreditation Centre will be open at the following times (NZDT): 2.3.2.1 Thursday 1st November 0900 – 1700 2.3.2.2 Friday 2nd November 0630 – 1730 2.3.2.3 Saturday 3rd November 0730 – 1700 2.3.2.4 Sunday 4th November 0730 – 1600

TECHNICAL

3.1 SCRUTINEERING 3.1.1 Scrutineering will commence at 0730hrs (NZDT) on Friday 2nd November 2018.

3.2 FRONT BRAKE DISCS 3.2.1 Refer to the below updated Schedule C1–5 Brake System and note the new Front Brake Disc and Brake Bobbin, which are mandatory at this Event:

SPORTING

4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY 4.1.1 In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the MetService is Pukekohe: http://www.metservice.com/rural/auckland#!/pukekohe

4.2 BRIEFINGS 4.2.1 A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1700hrs (NZDT) on Thursday 1st November 2018 in the Virgin Australia Paddock Club located on top of the Pit Building. 4.2.2 A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1800hrs (NZDT) on Friday 2nd November 2018 in the in the Virgin Australia Paddock Club located on top of the Pit Building. 4.3 PIT BAY MARKING 4.3.1 For this Event, and in accordance with Rule D11.5.8.2, Teams are to restrict the outer edge of their Pit Bay marking to the outer edge of the painted white line on the join of the concrete and the bitumen.

4.4 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE 4.4.1 Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs (NZDT) on Thursday 1st November 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock.

4.5 DEADMAN HANDLE OPERATOR 4.5.1 The Deadman’s Handle Attendant must be attired in accordance with the prescriptions of Rule D22.4.4.

4.6 FUEL LEVEL ADVISER 4.6.1 At this Event, the Fuel Level Advisor (person who is monitoring the amount of fuel being transferred to the Car), must be attired in accordance with the requirements of Rule D22.4.4.

OPERATIONS

5.1 ACCESS TO THE CIRCUIT 5.1.1 Gate 2 into the Circuit for Teams will open at 0600hrs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

5.2 ACCESS TO PADDOCK 5.2.1 The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of the Supercars Paddock Manager. 5.2.2 No passenger vehicles are to enter the Supercars paddock, commencing Thursday 1st November 2018. 5.2.3 Team containers are permitted to be unloaded from 0800hrs (NZDT) on Thursday 1st November 2018.

5.3 TYRE TENT SETUP 5.3.1 Tyre tents are not permitted on the concrete patch at the rear of the garages. Tyre tents are only permitted on the grass mound at the rear of the garages. 5.3.2 Teams will only be permitted 1 (one) 6m x 3m tent per transporter that is usually at an Event.

5.4 RACE TRACK WALK 5.4.1 Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Thursday 1st November 2018 between 1500hrs and 1700 hrs (NZDT).

5.5 DEMOBILISATION AFTER EVENT- FREIGHT 5.5.1 Following Race 29, Teams are required to have staff available at the Dunlop facility to strip, clean and bag their wheels for return freight to Australia. It will be the responsibility of the Teams to ensure the bagged wheels are loaded into the designated air freight containers as directed by Gibson Freight. 5.5.2 All fuel vessels are to be completely clean and empty. 5.5.3 Splitter bags (front and rear splitter travel bags) must only contain splitters. No spare parts or consumables are permitted to be packed for travel. 5.5.4 Supercars master locks must be used on containers whilst in transit. No Team locks are permitted to be used under any circumstances.

5.6 PROHIBITED ITEMS – CUSTOMS & FREIGHT 5.6.1 The transportation of any food product to and from Australia by a Team is strictly prohibited.

5.6.2 Any wood product is not permitted to be transported to New Zealand unless the product has been previously approved for export by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) and the appropriate certification is supplied. 5.6.3 Teams are not permitted to transport fuel or empty fuel drums or containers to New Zealand for use at this Event. Teams’ refuelling equipment is not considered a container for the application of this Supplementary Regulation. 5.6.4 No hazardous materials (e.g. brake cleaner, etc.) are permitted to be transported to and from New Zealand in the air freight container by any Team. 5.6.5 Teams are not permitted to place or affix any signage of any kind, apart from the Supercars logo, on their air freight container. The only exception is a Team sticker on the front door of the container, no larger than 200mm x 150mm. The exact location will be specified by the Supercars Transport & Logistics Manager.

5.7 PASSENGER RIDE INDEMNITY FORM 5.7.1 For this Event, delete Rule E6.5.1 and replace with the following: E6.5.1 Prior to entering a Car, a passenger in a Ride, must have read and signed, or have had read to them and signed, a “Event Rides Passenger Indemnity”. 5.7.2 For this Event, delete Form F.15 CAMS Passenger Ride Entry Form and replace with the MotorSport New Zealand Passenger Ride Form. This Form is included with these Supplementary Regulations.

MARKETING

6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE 6.1.1 Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by the Supercars Media and Promotions Department.

6.2 GRID WALK 6.2.1 Where permitted, movement of non-Team personnel on and off the grid must only be via the point/s as described in the Competitors Authorised Representatives Briefing. 6.2.2 Team guests for the grid walk are not permitted on the grid until all Cars are in their grid positions post the reconnaissance lap, or unless advised otherwise by Supercars staff. Crew personnel will still be able to access the grid when advised over RMC. 6.2.3 Promotional staff, Drivers and crew (up to 8 people per Car) are the only people permitted on the grid in addition to those that are wearing a grid sticker.

6.3 TEAM SIGNAGE 6.3.1 Teams are responsible for the removal of all Team signage fixed to the Pit Garage marquees. A cleaning charge will apply to any Team who fails to remove their signage after the Event.

SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

7.2 MEDICAL SERVICES 7.2.1 The Medical Centre is located at Pit Entry and will be operational during the following times: 7.2.1.1 Thursday 1st November 0800 – 1800 7.2.1.2 Friday 2nd November 0800 – 1800 7.2.1.3 Saturday 3rd November 0800 – 1800 7.2.1.4 Sunday 4th November 0800 – 1800 7.2.2 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. 7.7 HEALTH AND SAFETY 7.7.1 In accordance with the MSNZ Manual Health and Safety Policy, the Supercars Paddock will be a smoke-free zone for the duration of the Event.

7.8 UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION 7.8.1 Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a Team or Competitor is prohibited. 7.8.2 This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the Event area defined as the Event area. 7.8.3 It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area during the Event period. 7.8.4 A breach of this prohibition will result in the exclusion from the Event for any offending Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn.

7.8.5 The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing significant numbers of people.

7.9 DAMAGE TO GARAGES 7.9.1 All damage caused by a Team to its Garage/s will be the responsibility of the Team to make good and/or pay for repairs. This includes but not limited to fixing holes caused by screwing attachment for wall banners.
