What is an au pair? An au pair is an in-home childcare provider from a foreign country working for, and living as part of, a host family. In addition to childcare, an au pair provides busy with a much needed extra set of hands. An au pair's duties include childcare and light housekeeping related to childcare. The title comes from the French term au pair, meaning "on a par" or "equal to," indicating that the relationship is intended to be one of equals: the au pair is intended to become a member of the family, rather than a domestic servant.

Program Options AuPairCare offers three program options to fit a family’s needs:

The Standard Year Long Program AuPairCare’s standard au pair program is a year-long experience for the host family and au pair, combining dedicated childcare and cultural exchange.
