Theyare not a salaried Council; they collect monthly honorariumtorecover funds for a�ending to their responsibili�es ofgo verning and represen�ng Simpcw. The Chief is allocated 20 days per month andCouncillo rs are allocated 15 days per month; the allocated days are regularly reviewed to makesure that they do not go over the fiscally budgeted amount. As the Cultural Coordinator, I will be the main point of contact for all of these events so if you have any questions, you are more than welcome to contact me. August Events: August 7-9—Friends on the Water Canoe Journey. The journey will consist of 3 separate day trips. If you would like to attend the journey on August 7 and 8, please contact me to RSVPas there are limited seats. Seats will be given on a first come, first served basis. COMMUNITY WATCH

The community watch group meets on a quarterly basis. We are an organized group devoted to prevention of crime and vandalism. Our group consists of 5 dedicated individuals.

The committee discusses any previous activities, they plan, prepare and recommend issues for better safety within our community.

We document any suspicious activities and/or vehicles. Periodically the activities will be forwarded to the RCMPfor their records.

Any serious crimes or crimes in process are reported directly to the RCMP.

With summer quickly approaching, we are encouraging the RCMPto set up road block more frequently.

This committee reports directly to the Emergency Services Committee quarterly.
