Sandeep Kumar IFS 1985

BA Eng Hons LLB CLC Ambassador to Ireland

Sandeep has served in various missions at Croatia, Hong Kong, Hanoi, Paris, Cape Town and Kabul. Heserved as Joint Secretary in the West Asia and North Africa (WANA) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs.

In 2015 -2018, he served as Ambassador of to the Republic of Croatia.

He speaks English, Hindi, Chinese, French and German and has a passion for the arts, travel and sports.

He has written a non-fictional account of his experiences in Afghanistan: “On Edge”.

Anumula Gitesh Sarma IFS 1986 BA Hons Pol Sc MA Pol Sc High Commissioner to Australia

Anumula’s overseas assignments include Indian Missions in Russia, Ukraine, Hong Kong, and United Kingdom. He has been Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan and High Commissioner of India in Fiji.

Additionallyserved as Officer on Special Duty (IT Enabled Services) in the Information Technology Department of the state of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, India and was Secretary (West) Ministry of External Affairs until November 2019.

Ajay chose Russian as his language of specialization and was posted at the Indian Embassy in Moscow (1988 – 1991). He worked as a Soviet Internal Affairs specialist in the months leading up to the break-up of the USSR.

Postedas First Secretary Indian Embassy in Berlin (1995–1999) he looked after commercial matters at a time of rising economic engagement between Germany and a liberalizing India.

Ajay was Private Secretary to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayeeof India in 1999, and served in this capacity till 2004. During most of this period, he contributed to various economic, defence and foreign policy initiatives of the period. He attended more than 50 international meets with the Prime Minister.

He also worked on India’s policy approach to multilateral entities like SCO and the Russia – India – China trilateral dialogue.

As High Commissioner of India to Pakistan 2017–2020he helped establish linkages for India to engage with a new Pakistan government led by Prime Minister . He was involved in furthering various initiatives including the .

Between 1995 and 2009, Sanjiv held diplomatic positions in Indian Embassies in Madrid, Lima, and the Permanent Mission of India, New York USA interspersed with tenures at the Ministry of External Affairs Government of India. He served as Deputy High Commissioner of India to Mauritius 2006–2009.

In April 2012 he was appointed Joint Secretary in the newly established Development Partnership Administration. He was Coordinator of the third India–AfricaForum Summit held in New Delhi in October 2015.

Before joining at Bogota, he served as Ambassador to Argentina with concurrent accreditation to Uruguay and Paraguay.

Sripriya Ranganathan IFS 1994 MA His Ambassador to The Republic of Korea

Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan joined the Indian Foreign Serviceimmediately after obtaining her M A in History, with specialisation in Modern Indian History

She served in Myanmar as the second in command at Embassy of India, Yangon.

During her multiple years’ experience in Headquarters, she has served in the Ministry of External Affairs as well as in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

AsJoint Secretary (Director General) responsible for relations with Bangladesh and Myanmar she also headed the SAARC Division and the Policy Planning Divisions in the Ministry.

She is deeply interested in issues relating to women’s leadership and empowerment and tries to make time for activities related to these issues.

Sripriyais married to Mukund Santhanam, a financial services professional. They have one daughter.

Fluent in Japanese he served in Indian Missions/Posts in Tokyo, Shanghai, Brussels and Cairo. His last foreign assignment was as Consul General of India in Sydney, Australia.

In New Delhi, he served as Head of Office in the office of Minister for the Development of North East Region and Panchayati Raj (Local Government), Government of India 2007–2009and as Director Administration and Human Resource Ministry of External Affairs 2014–2016.

Ashok has served in Embassy of India in Syriawhere he also learnt Arabic .In 2004 he moved to Consulate General of India, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.In 2006, he joined Headquarters and worked as Deputy Secretary in East and Southern Africa Division and Finance Division. He was posted in Embassy of India, Berlin and served as First Secretary and Counsellor (Economic and Commerce) 2009-2013. Dr Raji K P is his spouse and she is also a geologist. They are blessed with two daughters.

Anjani arrived in Bamako on 11 January 2020 and presented his credentials to HE Mr Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta on 17 January 2020.

As a career diplomat, he has served at the Indian Embassies in Madrid, Mexico City, Caracas and at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations in New York.

At the Ministry of External Affairs, he has worked in various capacities in the Divisions dealing with Policy, Planning & Research, India’s relations with Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka, Administrative and Personnel Matters and in the office of Minister of State for External Affairs.
