Claire Nunez, GML Senior Associate and Manager, Heritage Places, has extensive experience working on heritage assessments, management plans and liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders including Australian federal and state government agencies, as well as international organisations, community groups and industry representatives.

Claire provides heritage advice on major development projects and has managed consultant teams on signature projects for both public and private sector clients. She enjoys solving complex challenges and brings clear thinking, fresh perspectives and creativity to heritage projects.

Prior to joining GML, Claire was an Assistant Director in the Heritage Branch at the Commonwealth Department of Environment. She has expert knowledge of statutory bodies, public authorities and government processes, as well as an in-depth understanding of Qualifications government heritage programs and policy. She has expertise in Bachelor of Cultural Heritage Studies, University world, national and Commonwealth heritage matters and the of Canberra application of the Environment, Protection and Biodiversity Diploma of Project Management, University of New England Partnerships Conservation Act 1999 (Cwlth) (EPBC Act). Graduate Certificate of City Planning, University of New South Wales Claire’s technical knowledge, experience in government, and practical approach ensures she delivers great outcomes for heritage projects and an engaging client experience.
