SHOTA TOKIDO After a 4 cycle stint as commissioner of Steel Federation's New Blood League (NBL), I decided to move the entire brand that I had created to the Bronze Federation and create the Elite Prestige League (now known as EPW). At the time, Thursdays were hard for me and Bronze Federation was always my main home. NBL ended up being the beginning to something even larger. It served as the backdrop to the formation of what would later become EPW and EG as whole.
The creation of the European based EPL was a first of it's kind. The IWA made a imaginary bulletin zero, so that the previous NBL frontpage was used for EPL cycle 1. No other league started it's 1st cycle or as we like to call it 'tour' with a pre-existing frontpage. This allowed everyone who came to the EPL to challenge for league, no matter the ranking. When the entire brand shifted from NBL to EPL it really shifted.
Right off the bat, EPL was a success and made the top 10 leagues for it's first 9 cycles straight out of the gate! A record that I am certain any future rookie league will find hard to beat. The UNL was the first rookie league to make top 10 during it's first go around.
Around cycle 11 of EPL, I decided to take over the Generation Next League with Brandon Madden as my co-commissioner. Brandon played the role of Gavin Rothchild, writing up his report and sometimes helped me with booking and some other decisions (the frontpage titles at the time were decided by Brandon and Shawn Mcabee). The Generation Next League was on really hard times when we took it over and being a previous player in it, I saw a unique opportunity ahead.
The decision to take over GNL, made us decide to gut EPL down to a 6 limit league (it was 12 previously) causing it to suffer a little at the time. Within 3 cycles, Brandon and I had GNL back in shape. It too, like EPL, would later drop the L to become Generation Next Wrestling. It's purpose was about the future, a NXT to EPW given it's name. I kept the cyber elements from the previous regime in it's theme. Recently Brandon stepped down from GNW to concentrate on Bronze Age elements, so Joseph Cockrell is became my new co-commissioner with GNW being rebranded as a league based in Mexico called Generacion Proximo Lucha Libre (GPLL) which is Generation Next Wrestling in Spanish. The GPLL also features the first BR in IWA history to use pinfall and submission instead of using over the top rope. Something the IWA has worked hard in their system on to create for me.
After seeing the success that GPLL had become, my desire to have my own ladies league (as that is my main part of my game) came into play. So, we gutted the entire EPW women's division and shifted it over to create Queen's Quest Wrestling, which at the time, hurt EPW even more. I decided to place it in Gold to give the federation a good women's league and to also give us a league in each Tuesday fed. QQW became a instant success right away, my second made from scratch league to do so. After one year in Gold, QQW moved to Bronze Federation to be opposite of EPW as the premiere women's brand.
It was also around this time, that I decided with 3 leagues, it was time to create brand, so I took the words Elite and Generation from EPW and GPLL to create The Elite Generation.
As time went by, GPLL and QQW continued to grow and become consistent top 10 leagues together. Meanwhile, EPW was still trying to catch up from blow after blow of being gutted, but it hung on and eventually found it's footing once again and it has made the top 10 leagues with both GPLL and QQW as of late. 3 EG brands in together! EPW in my mind is the premiere EG league that it was always meant to be as it gains more and more depth.
Not stopping there, because I love Japan so much (as I follow not just wrestling, but dramas, films, animes, music, visual novels and other things as well), I came up with my third made from scratch league, Sugoi Nippon Akushon Puroresu! which has recently been rebranded as Dragon's Kingdom Wrestling aka DKW. This also gave EG leagues based in UK, Japan, Mexico and America! Recently the legendary Blood Bath League became the 5th Elite Generation league to give us a overall great rotation for our world title! I look forward to working with Rob Lawson to create some great things in the future!
I am very happy with the EG brand and what it achieved in 2020. It's come along quickly and the rest of 2021 is going to be even more exciting! So, that is a bit of the backstory. I hope you enjoy your time here, let's have fun together and for the core from the NBL days that have been with me since day one and made the changes needed necessary (and the players who are in more then one EG league), you all rock and this would not be possible without any of you! Kenji is a former lawyer, who usually stays out of the limelight, but the recent behavior from some of the brand commissioners might bring him more into the spotlight soon. He helped fund the creation of EPW, QQW, DKW and the purchase of GNW as the overall idea of the Elite Generation was a vision of his. Of the brand commissioners, Kenji is the closest to Ryder Bourne since EPW started the vision and Ichiban Yagami, a longtime friend who recently took over DKW. Kenji's son is DKW's Kei Kenmochi while his daughters are Rei Kenmochi of the GPLL, DKW Joshi General Manager Midori Kenmochi and Daisy Kenmochi of the DKW, but he plays no favors to any of them. Tough love, they both have earn on their own. Work extra harder even. Kenji signed off on the sale of GPLL and the move to Mexico and the addition of BBL to the fold. All championships creations, PPVs, special events and interfed discussions with other leagues go through him and must get his approval before they are officially signed off on. You never know when the man behind the desk might make a appearance, but you know things are surely serious when does decide to make one! taking home the honors, so a big congratulations goes out to the both of them! This tour, EG Gold Rush and the E NWL alumni event will take place. Elite Gen doesn't miss a beat, we just keep on giving!
Speaking of big things, I would personally like to applaud those who made the IWA report. So congratulations to GPLL's Maxwell Grantwood, GPLL's J.G. Brenner & Dr. Savage, GPLL's The Catfish and QQW's Pecadora's on bringing home some big gold!
Also! For the first time in EG history, 4 of the brands made the IWA top 10! Including DKW's 1st appearance, which also gained them the best strategy average! Wow! It seems I have left DKW in great hands with Ichiban!
There are some changes on the horizon to improve the Elite Generation brand. These changes include brand new contender systems EG and league wide. Some championships will also be dropped, some will be added and Road To Glory & Extreme Measures will be replaced with a new show called EG The Clash.
Please read up on the changes in our magazine and in the commissioner reports. I promise you it's for the best. We only make these decisions to improve what we have been building. Every move we've made has benefited the brand thus far. Well, that is all I have to address today, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you to all of our loyal and passionate talent and viewers for making this entire thing grow in the past year. Every tour in which there are at least 50 cards, we are considered for the Elite Championship in EPW, GPLL, QQW and BBL!
As of mid-2021, EG is now invite only for EPW, QQW, GPLL and DKW. Players may only join our leagues with EG commissioner's approval. BBL remains open to any player that wishes to join it, but this does not necessarily mean you will become apart of EG as certain players are on our no-EG list due to certain tendencies in their playstyle that do not fit into our own style of play.
EG managers who recruit new players into any league and have the new players use our $5 tryout deal upon our approval (6 regional matches, free transfer/creation, free battle royal entry) will get 5 free matches for themselves!
Each EG league also has it's own frontpage race where whomever gets all the frontpage single titles first wins 60 free matches (then it resets to start all over again)!

Every cycle, a league commissioner has permission from the IWA to give out 5 free matches to any player that they feel has warranted to receive them.
Many leagues tend to give out the 5 free for the best trash talk, which we ourselves had been doing the beginning of our run in EPW. But, our mind frame on doing it that way changed not too long ago.
Since there are 5 tours in-between our PPVs, we have decided to collect the 5 free matches and put them aside for a overall total of 25 free!
These 25 free will be given out to one lucky player in each league.
So how will one person win the 25 free in their particular league?
Well it's fairly simple and it gives just about anyone a chance at winning it all!
Before every PPV tour is played (once the card is officially decided), we will ask our players to send in their PPV winner predictions. Whoever has the most accurate guesses correct will win the 25 free! It's as easy as that!
The deadline to have your guesses in will be the day of play (Tuesdays 9am). You can post on the EG Facebook group.
We came to the conclusion to do it this way because it has never been done before in a IWA league (in-terms of handing out the free matches) and we love that it gives pretty much anyone (excluding the commissioner, who does not enter) at winning.
Another bonus is that it keeps players on their toes to do their best during the PPV tour and it creates for more interaction and learning of other player's wrestlers (great for possible feuds down the road). It is also our way for showing our appreciation to those in our leagues for helping make it great. EG would not be possible without you all. Thank you everyone for being here!!

The Elite Generation Contender System
EPW, QQW, GPLL and DKW all share the same contender based league system (BBL being the only one that is a little bit different).
Trash talk is a requirement to be considered for all of our titles and also to be able to retain them. We want the titles to mean something and have character to them, so trash talk is a must to hold onto them. The titles have to be brought up in value and have purpose after all.
This activity rule also applies towards our frontpage race 60 free matches. You will not be considered for the 60 free if you are not participating in the league outside of frontpage.
EG World (Next Level) Championship
The EG Next Level Championship is defended on EG The Clash in a rotation against EPW's Prestige, GPLL's Lucha Heritage, DKW's Dragon's Fury and BBL's UVU champion during the PPV off cycles as it is not defended during that particular tour. The rotation order is PPV, EPW, GPLL, OFF, DKW, BBL, PPV.

After the success of last year's event, EG has decided to bring back The Heist For It All as a annual event!
Last year's tournament saw the winner receive $100 in EG credit and become the very first EG World Champion!
With the additions of DKW and BBL in 2021, this year's Heist For It All will see the winner receive $160 in EG credit! They will also get a instant shot at the EG Next Level Championship upon winning the tournament on top of the pool money!
The rules from the previous year shall remain the same with red and blue blocks (8 wrestlers per block, 16 per brand overall). This will be the final EG special event of 2021 because of the time frame it will take to complete it! T H E E L I TE G EN E R A T I O N P P V S C H E DU L E
EPW, QQW, GPLL and DKW will run up to 3 PPVs a year (BBL is done differently). Each PPV books between 12 to 14 matches on them.
They will occur after every 5th IWA cycle period to help develop the storylines leading up to them. This does not include special EG wide events or one off PPVs that will occur sometime between the 5 cycles.

This brand only works because of all of your love and support for it. Under the EG brand, we have a very loyal core who tend to bring the same type of values and elements to the game.
We are a family, who try to be there for each other, who try to find enjoyment with one another, who have silly and wacky fun in the EG chatroom. And it's not always IWA related! We have a special bond and we all want to see the best fun environment for our time in the game.
