General Information
SCHULZ Systemtechnik GmbH, leading developer of automation solutions for various industries, was founded in 1954 in Lower Saxony Visbek. What began as a classic craft business for electrical installations, has now developed into an internationally operating group of companies. It was one of the first German companies in its segment with extensive investments both in the new federal states as well as in Central and South Eastern Europe. SCHULZ has also been involved in the agricultural systems production field from the start, not least because the roots of the company lie in the midst of the European Centre for the processing industry and animal husbandry. Also of key importance are the business areas industry automation and automotive. Adding to this comes the field of renewable energies with focus points on photovoltaics, wind energy and biogas technology. The group of companies has even specialized in the development of mechanical special machines and the use of individual robotic applications, and therefore provides the perfect complement to the numerous automation tasks.
With this SCHULZ Systemtechnik combines all three disciplines of automation technology - from mechanics to electrical engineering to software - and as such has the complete value chain from a single source. Specially tailored solutions are created for respective customers, from companies within the SME sector to large-scale industry. Extensive synergies within the group of companies as well as extensive knowledge and expertise in the various sectors and their techniques are essential advantages.
In order to sustain changing manufacturing processes of its customers, the Hightech Strategy Industry 4.0 for technology leaders is both a goal and vision at the same time and already today can be found in some products.
The headquarter in Oldenburger Münsterland has grown continuously. In total there are more than 1,000 employees employed at the local headquarter and other locations in Doberschütz in Leipzig, Burg near Magdeburg, Lebus near Frankfurt an der Oder, Wallenhorst near Osnabrück, the Hanseatic cities of Bremen and Hamburg, in Stuhr-Brinkum as well as Poznań, in Venlo, the Netherlands and in Russia’s capital Moscow. SCHULZ furthermore has sales offices in some countries of Eastern Europe and North Africa. The company already certified since 1996 according to ISO 9001, serves customers in over thirty countries on all continents.

Special machines were built amongst other things for Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Volkswagen and Völkl.

Corporate history
1954
Formation of Heinrich Schulz Elektroanlagen GmbH by the brothers Heinrich and Walter Schulz in Goldenstedter Straße in Visbek (District of Vechta in Lower Saxony). Opening of a specialist electrical business in Visbek.
1961
Heinrich Schulz takes over the company as sole proprietor with six employees.
1964
New construction of the company headquarters with a large retail shop in Goldenstedter Straße in Visbek.
1970
Now known as Schulz Elektrotechnik, the company for the first time develops a controller for an animal-feed company; a field of business which expands quickly from the very beginning.
1971
Erection of an extension in Goldenstedter Straße.
1977
Setting-up of an armature winding facility (motor development).
1978
First-time development of a stored programme control system.
1979
25th anniversary of the formation of the company.
1981
New shop building in Schneiderkruger Straße in Visbek.
1986
New workshop with office building in the same street for a work force now totalling 66.
1989
Expansion soon necessitates the addition of another storey to the office building. In the same year, the Wall falls and the subsequent unification of East and West Germany to a uniform German currency and economic area as the precursor to reunification begins; a development which was also to acquire great significance for Schulz Elektrotechnik.
1990
Accession of the newly formed German states Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Saxony and Thüringen to the Federal Republic of Germany. Opening of the first branch in Mockrehna in Saxony (District of Torgau-Oschatz).
1994
Erection of a new warehouse and what is now the third extension to the office building in Visbek for a work force now already numbering 168.
1997
Occupation of a new corporate building in Doberschütz near Leipzig as a new business location for the 37 employees in Saxony. The total work force at Schulz Elektrotechnik now numbers 207.
1998
Establishment of the third branch in Podelzig.
2001
Opening of a fourth business location in Burg near Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt.
2002
As a result of previous engagements in the Polish towns of Breslau in 1996 and Poznan in 1998, the first foreign branch in Europe is founded in Poznan. In order to draw attention to the multiplicity of Schulz's corporate skills, it is decided to rename the company "SCHULZ Systemtechnik GmbH".
In the same year, the company takes a holding in the Westphalian firm EnviTec Biogas GmbH and since then has counted the generation of electrical power from renewable energy sources among its core skills.
2004
The first sod is cut for the construction of a new warehouse and extension of the office building at the headquarters in Visbek.
The company takes over the Wallenhorst firm emt automation GmbH. Robot-based automation is now also a part of the company's performance spectrum. The company group now employs a total work force of over 450.
2005
Formal opening of the new company building and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the company's formation.
2008
Establishment of a new branch in Bremen, where the focus is on industrial automation and robotics. At its Lebus location, SCHULZ Systemtechnik celebrates 10 years of corporate operations in Eastern Brandenburg.
2009
With the new business locations in Moscow/Russia and Swolgen/Netherlands, two companies more in the SCHULZ Group.
2010
Integration of Peter Suhling Automation GmbH in the Schulz Group. The company is based in Bremen and specialized in the construction of mechanical systems.
2011
The branch in Burg looks back on its 10-year history of operations.
2012
The formal opening of a new logistics hall with an office building at the Visbek headquarters.
2013
Opening of a training center for robotic applications in the branch in Bremen
2014
Opening of a new business location in Hamburg
2015
The Saxon location in Doberschütz celebrates its 25th anniversary. At the same time an extension building is inaugurated - 1,500 square meters offer new capacity for administration, production and warehousing.
The company now stands at over 1,000 employees.
2016
The company Peter Suhling Automation, a special machine manufacturer, moves to a new building right next to the automotive centre in Bremen. At the same time, SCHULZ Systemtechnik changes its company name. As a result, the site doubles in size, increasing from 2,400 to over 5,200 square metres. By combining all of its expertise in a single location, SCHULZ offers a complete range of automation solutions and is perfectly equipped for the new 4.0 manufacturing mould industry.
2017
Establishment of an expanded service and production site in Hamburg
