174 DIVISION I Basketball DIVISION I 2002 Championship Highlights Un-Conn-quered: The Women’s Final Four championship game may not have been perfectly played, but the winners emerged with a perfect ending to a perfect season nonetheless. Despite a championship-game-record 21 turnovers, Connecticut marked its place in women’s bas- ketball history with a national title and undefeated season after an 82-70 victory over Oklahoma March 31 in San Antonio. For the complete championships story, go to the April 15, 2002, issue of The NCAA News at www.ncaa.org on the World Wide Web. All-Tournament Team: Swin Cash was named the most outstanding player of the tournament, leading the Huskies with 20 points and 13 rebounds. She was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Sue Bird and Asjha Jones. Stacey Dales and Rosalind Ross were honored from Oklahoma. TOURNAMENT SCORING LEADERS Player, Team G FG FGA Pct.
