• Avenue Station is being constructed using a mined method known as Sequential Excavation Method or SEM. • 24 hour mining is underway at the Main and Secondary Entrances and will be ongoing to the end of 2019. • The mining process includes three principal underground activities that occur in a continuous sequence. Eglinton Station – Upcoming Traffic Changes Eglinton Station – TTC Upgrades and Service Building

• Crosstown Project Agreements Future site of TTC requires CTS to make service building improvements at Eglinton subway station including construction of new subway service building and upgrades to the subway station.

• TTC has approved 24 closures in 2018 for this work. The subway will close 2am Saturday mornings and Rendering of TTC re-open Monday mornings at 5am service building for each closure.

• The new service building will be located over the subway tracks at the Berwick portal (pictured right).

• The upgrades include an improved ventilation and life safety systems for the existing subway.

Eglinton Station – Weekend Subway Closures

• TTC & Crosslinx have coordinated to limit the overall number of Line 1 closures in 2018.

• During 9 of the 24 closures, TTC will undertake states of Good Repair work. 15 out of the 24 Closures will be strictly from St Clair to Lawrence.

• Work will occur 24 hours a day during the designated weekend closures.

• Weekend activities include excavation, shoring and foundation work.

(near future ) in mentorship opportunity at Habitat for Humanity GTA Build with CTS staff in November 2016. • Holiday Giving Program done in support of New Circles Community Services (near future O’Connor stop), CTS staff sponsored 7 families in December 2016. • Organized a 3-part Women in Construction series in partnership with the YWCA Toronto (near Kennedy Station) to empower and provide mentorship to more than 20 Eglinton-area girls in March 2017.
