Important Instructions for Admission in P.G. Programme for the Academic Session 2020-22

1. The P.G. Admission process will be divided into two Groups- Group A and Group B except LL.M. programme. 2. Group A will consist of 80% of the total intake capacity both subject wise and category wise available to the home University candidates. 3. Group B will consist of the students of home university who fail to place themselves in Group A on grounds of merit, Candidates from other UGC recognised Universities, and the students from the previous Academic years but not before the AY 2018 of UGC recognised Universities. 4. Considering the pandemic situation, there will be no admission test and for both Group A & B admission will be held through publication of Merit List- to be prepared on the basis of Marks obtained in Graduation Level of their respective courses/ subjects. 5. After Registration the Merit List will be published. This Merit List will contain the names of all the eligible Candidates on the basis of the Marks obtained in Graduation Level of their respective courses/ subjects. Where the marks is the same, the marks secured in Higher Secondary will be considered and after that the date of birth where the marks secured by the candidates in Higher Secondary is the same. Merit list will be published subject wise and category wise. The first merit list will be published for Group A only. 6. After publication of Merit List if any discrepancies/ anomalies/ flaws found by the candidates, they may contact the helpline or helpdesk through mobile/ e-mail etc. for rectification of error but it should be done within the due date as provided under the lists of important dates. 7. After publication of merit List, the Candidates have to apply their preferences/ choice for the institute where they intend to take admission. The option List will contain the name of the University Departments and all the Colleges where that course is taught and the students may choose all the institutes as First Preference, second preference etc. or may choose any specific institute or institutes. 8. After getting the preferences of the candidates, the First Admission List will be published. Admission list will be prepared on the basis of merit as well as the preferences opted by the candidates. Merit will always get priority in preparing admission list. 9. If any seat lies vacant from the seats available to the students of Group A, then the subsequent list will be published but only within a reasonable time period in consideration of academic calendar. 10. Even after publication of the last admission list, if any seat(s) of any Department (s) remain (s) vacant that will be clubbed with the seats of Group B and a fresh merit list will be published for remaining twenty percent students. This merit list will not include the students from the previously published admission list (s) 11. After publication of merit list for Group B the admission list (s) will be published after fulfilling the criteria/ stipulations provided in Para-6, Para-7 12. Admission list will contain both Unreserved as well as Reserved Category list. 13. Reserved Category Students will be asked through SMS and e-mail to use their choice whether they intend to get admission by opting general list or through reserved Category. 14. Candidates can take admission only by payment of required fees through portal and online payment gateway. 15. Candidates will get the chance of upgradation in their preferred institutes if any seat remains or will become vacant. The admission fee in case of upgradation will be adjusted.

16. Only the admitted candidates will get the chance for upgradation. The candidates who will not take the admission as per the admission list published by this University, their candidature will not be considered for any further admission process. 17. If required, subsequent admission list will be published after the publication of first admission list for the students of Group B only.

Steps to be followed to get admission:

1. Students whose names are there in Admission list will login into the admission portal using their log in id and password.

2. Students who are of reserved category and whose names have appeared both as Reserved and General category will choose in which category, he/she wants to take admission.

3. Student will click to the pay button and will be redirected to the payment gateway.

4. After successful payment student will return to the admission portal and will download the payment receipt by clicking the download receipt link.

5. After getting admission student can opt for up-gradation for being considered in the next admission list to get suitable place as per his/ her preferences as submitted.

6. Only the admitted candidates will get the chance for upgradation. The candidates who will not take the admission as per the admission list published by this University, their candidature will not be considered for any further admission process.

General Instructions

1. Candidates are required to go through the Information Booklet carefully before attempting for online application. 2. Once an application is received, it will be deemed that the candidate agrees to all terms & conditions, rules & regulations stipulated in the Information Bulletin and notices published by the Bankura University for the said purpose. 3. Ensure that you are filling genuine application form available on line at www.bankurauniv.ac.in 4. Please provide the current mobile no. (WhatsApp no.) and e-mail id so that future communication will be sent to the registered mobile no. and e-mail id. 5. All the information must match exactly with the school admit cards, mark sheets, certificates, photo identity cards, caste/category certificates etc. 6. Do not attempt to make any duplicate application. 7. Upload a scanned copy of photograph, signature, Marksheet/Screenshot of result or scanned copy of result of Graduation, for LL.M. aspirants Mark Sheet/Screenshot of result or scanned copy of result of of LL.B. and Admit Card of Secondary School Examination Board as per the instructions provided in the online form. 8. Confirmation of admission of a student in the P.G. Programme is subject to the verification of his/her original testimonials which will be initiated only after giving proper notice in due course. Admission is liable to be cancelled if any discrepancies found in any document or information provided by the candidates during the process of admission at any time/ stage. 9. The newly admitted students of Semester- I of the P.G. Courses of this University for the Academic Year 2020- 21 are hereby informed that they have to attend at least 75% (as per the UGC norms) of total classes in the first month on and from the commencement of classes. Otherwise their name from the attendance register will automatically be struck off. 10. Norms of UGC related to admission must be maintained.

Flow of PG online Admission for the Academic Year 2020-21

1. Applicants connect to internet and open the university Website and enter into admission portal 2. Applicants will click on PG Admission, 2020-21 3. Applicants will get there the ‘ONLINE REGISTRATION TAB’ and by clicking the above will get the application form which is required to be filled up by the candidates with required details. 4. Applicant has to upload the testimonials, photos, signature and other required documents. These documents should therefore be kept ready to hand before applying. However, the admission will be confirmed only after verification of original documents and testimonials. 5. The software displays the registration information for applicants to preview and cross check all the details 6. Candidate can edit any mistakes & finally clicks on ‘’SUBMIT” button. 7. Make the registration valid by paying the ‘Registration Fees’ (at no circumstances the unpaid registrations will be carried forward into the same portal)- Registration fee will be paid through Payment gateway 8. System will send email and SMS regarding confirmation of payment after successful transaction. 9. Applicant receives username and password on his/her email id and mobile number. 10. Candidate takes the printout of the application and payment receipt 11. Publication of merit List. Only the paid registrations will be treated as eligible to enter into ‘Merit List’. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the Graduation level of their respective Subjects/ Courses./programmes. Where the marks are the same, the marks secured in Higher Secondary will be considered. and again the date of birth will

be considered where the marks secured by the candidates in Higher Secondary is also the same Merit list will be published subject wise and category wise. 12. Candidate will check his/her rank in the merit list and login into the candidate portal using their credentials 13. After publication of Merit List if any discrepancies/ anomalies/ flaws are found by the candidate, he may contact the helpline or helpdesk through mobile/ e-mail etc. for rectification of error. But it should be done within due date as provided under the lists of important dates. 14. After publication of Merit List, the Candidates have to apply their preferences/ choice for the University/Institute where they intend to take admission. 21. Important Information on Fees to be paid by students for upgradation and allied matters I. Upgradation Charges- Rs. 50 (Rs. Fifty) only. II. If the admission fees of an Institute is more than the admission fees of the Institute where the candidate had already taken admission then that candidate is required to pay only the differences i.e. the extra amount deducting the paid amount III. If the admission fee of an institute is less than the admission fees of the institute where the student had already taken admission then the differences of amount will be reimbursed/ refunded by the University after completion of admission process
