-With a two-run single in the third inning, 2B Daniel Murphy has hit safely in eight straight games, his longest hitting streak to start a season in his career…He extended Washington’s lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning with his second of the season, a two-run shot off RHP Lance Lynn …He recorded his sixth multi-hit game, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, five RBI and two runs scored...His four hits and five RBI both tied career highs.

-With three walks tonight, RF Bryce Harper matched a career high reaching base in nine straight plate appearances dating to last night…He also reached base safely in nine straight plate appearances May 7-8, 2016…The streak was snapped with a groundout in the sixth inning…Harper doubled in the eighth inning to finish the night 1-2 with a , three walks and two runs scored.
