Summary The project purpose is to develop, finance and implement the RWMS through Service, Works and Supply contracts so that the region meets National Waste Management Strat- egy Phase 1 objectives for the Landfill and Waste Framework Directive, and contributes towards the Packaging Directive.
Location and population Kragujevac, Arandjelovac, Topola, Knic, Rekovac, Serbia 300’000 inh.
Social and environmental impact Establisment of new jobs and development of new companies; improved public health of the citizens; improved air and water quality and reduction of GHGs; increased aware- ness about the benefits of recycling.
