Cruising Danube Through History CRUISING DANUBE THROUGH HISTORY NATIONAL PARK AND DJERDAP GORGE – BELGRADE, SMEDEREVO, RAM AND GOLUBAC FORTRESS – TABULA TRAIANA - LEPENSKI VIR - VIMINACIUM - CAPTAIN MISA’S HILL Two days / one night - by boat and bus Danube, the mythical river of amazing beauty. Through the time, Danube was also an important waterway and the border between different nations. Despite everything, Danube brings together incompatible. From its source to its delta, ten European countries lay on Danube banks, each of them pronouncing Danube differently in their language but each of them equally proud of the glorious river and everything that it brings. Among them is Serbia that this mighty river, giving tribute to her in his own capital, "married" to the pretty river Sava. And downstream ... On a cruise from Belgrade to Kladovo, you will get to see the beauty of the two estuaries, Tamis and Morava, the legends preserved in the stone of medieval fortresses and ancient cities along the banks, will admire the gigantic force of water that slipped through the impenetrable stone, creating the Iron Gate ... Itinerary 1st Day - Beograd - Smederevo -Ram -Veliko Gradiste -Golubac - Djerdapska Klisura -Donji Milanovac - Tekija -Kladovo (240km) (Meeting passengers) Passengers arrive at the Port of Belgrade (Karadjordjeva street, next to the Branko's Bridge) at 7:30 a.m. Aquastar Maxim cruiser departs at 8am. Cruise starts from the famous Belgrade fortress towards Kladovo, passing by Smederevo, the confluence of the Morava and Danube rivers, medieval fortress Ram, in the area where the Danube is the widest in Serbia. Ram fortress was built in the late 15th century on the site which was later known as safe point for entering/exiting then occupied Serbia. Also, nearby is the oldest tourist cottage in the country. Cruise continues then to the Silver Lake and Veliko Gradiste, passing Golubac Fortress where we enter the National Park Djerdap, also known as the Iron Gate. We cruise through the longest and deepest gorge in Europe, area of unique flora and fauna, where remains of one of the oldest European settlements can be seen. Passing Donji Milanovac, you will have the opportunity to visit the place where the Roman Emperor Trajan left a permanent imprint on the rock, known as Tabula Traiana. Arriving in Tekija after a 9 hour cruise. Short bus transfer to Kladovo. Accommodation at the Hotel "Aquastar Danube". Dinner. Overnight. 2rd Day - Kladovo - Lepenski Vir – Captain Misa’s Hill - Golubac - Viminacium - Smederevo Fortress - Belgrade (280km) Breakfast at the hotel and departure at 9am. Driving along the Danube River with short stops, to Donji Milanovac Town. Arriving at the archaeological site Lepenski vir, which was known as one of the oldest European and world urban settlements, as well as culturally advanced for the Middle Stone Age period (6500 BCE). After site tour, lunch is served in the ethnic restaurant “Captain Misa’s Hill” with breathtaking views of the Danube River and surrounding nature. The journey continues on towards Belgrade, with a short stop at the Golubac Fortress. The fortress was built in mid-14th century, and was many times demolished and rebuilt as a border fortress between Serbia, Hungary and Turkey. Next stop is Vimacium, built in the 1st century as one of the first Roman military camps on the Danube River. Vinimacium was the capital of Upper Moesia during 3rd and 4th century, one of only few Roman settlements which was demolished and rebuilt. It is still being explored and new excavations are underway, promising great and exciting new discoveries. Arrival in Smederevo and a visit to the fortress, which was built in the period between 1428 and 1439, during despot Djuradj Brankovic reign. In 1459, the fortress was conquered by Otoman Empire which marked the end of the Serbian Medieval state. Today, the Smederevo fortress is considered to be the largest preserved of its kind, revealing Despot’s secrets to its visitors. This is where the official sightseeing and program ends and after a short drive, arrival in Belgrade is expected in the early evening.     SMEŠTAJNI OBJEKTI U DOMAĆOJ RADINOSTI Donji Milanovac: Sobe za izdavanje – u kući Živorada Stefanovića, na Kapetan Mišinom bregu udaljene su od Donjeg Milanovca 6 km. Nalaze se na putu za Majdanpek preko planine Oman. Na raspolaganju gostima stoji 6 ležaja u tri dvokrevetne sobe, kategorisane sa tri zvezdice. Gostima se uz uslugu smeštaja nudi i ishrana domaćim specijlitetima ovog kraja. Na ovom mestu, odakle se pruža izuzetan pogled na donjomilanovačku kotlinu, nalazi se i galerija «Čovek, drvo i voda», pa posetioci mogu da uživaju u prirodi i razgledanju eksponata. Galerija se prostire na 7 ari sa oko 100 skulptura u drvetu, koje su u stalnoj postavci na otvorenom prostoru. Stan za odmor – Maje Marjanović, nalazi se u glavnoj ulici u Donjem Milanovcu. Raspolaže sa 4 ležaja u dve dvokrevetne sobe, ali su na raspolaganju i dva pomoćna ležaja. Kategorisan je sa tri zvezdice. U neposrednoj blizini stana nalazi se gradska plaža, prodavnica za svakodnevno snabdevanje, a u krugu od 300m su restorani, pošta, banka, autobuska stanica, mini marketi, pijaca... Stan za odmor – Slavice Popović nalazi se u Donjem Milanovcu, kapaciteta 4 ležaja u dve dvokrevetne sobe, kategorisan je sa tri zvezdice. Ovaj smeštajni objekat je komforan i savremeno ureĎen. Nalazi se u delu grada odakle se pruža izuzetan pogled na grad i Dunav. U dvorištu se nalazi lepo ureĎen deo u kome se može priprmati roštilj ili uživati tokom čitavog dana. Ovde možete pripremiti i svoju zimnicu. Za sve turiste koji putuju sa kućnim ljubimcima ovo je idealno mesto za smeštaj i odmor. U jednom delu dvorišta ureĎen je prostor za smeštaj pasa, a gostima koji se ne bi odvojili od svojih kućnih ljubimaca omogućeno je da u stanu smeste i svoje ljubimce.

As such, it represents a particular challenge for countries that see the provision and export of tourist services as one of the most important opportunities for accelerating economic growth. The natural resources of our country and its favorable geographical position can be a precious asset for attracting tourists and meaningful involvement of investors in this area. The intensification of investment activities in the field of tourism in Serbia offers many advantages, such as: (1) the building of new modern capacities and modernization of existing tourist facilities; (2) the use of modern information technology and participation in global distribution systems; (3)innovative promotional activities and the application of modern concepts of marketing and management in tourism; (4) and improvements in the quality of complex tourist services in accordance with the requirements of the world market. The list comprised field investigations, articles, grey literature, and unpublished data. Twenty-nine species of macroinvertebrates have been recorded since 1942, with a domination of the Ponto-Caspian faunistic elements. The majority of recorded species have broad distribution and are naturalized in the waters of Serbia, while occasional or single findings of seven taxa indicate that these species have failed to form populations. Presented results clearly show that the Danube is the main corridor for the introduction and spread of non-native species into Serbia. Landslides divided the village of Tekija into two parts, and rescuers are trying to break through the layers of soil with bulldozers.

Studying the origins of the population enables us to understand the currently ethnic division of settlements created by the migrations and ethnic processes that influence the settlements which are the subject of this paper. This article aims to describe the migration flows that determined the origin of the population of the municipality of Negotin and the ethnic distribution of settlements. The results of anthropogeographic surveys conducted during the second and third decades of the 20th century, as well as ethnological research from the second half of the 20th century, can rightly be interpreted as supporting the claim that the origin of the population and the ethnic structure of settlements of the municipality of Negotin are largely the result of historical migration trends. Of the greatest importance for the ethnic distribution of population are its two migration flows. The first and the oldest migration flow from Kosovo and Metohija and stage areas for that migrant lineages (families who have a mutual ancestor) and the second and the most numerous migration flow is from Wallachia, in which the participating lineages of Serbian and Vlach origin which created conditions for further deepening of the differences between Serbian and Vlach settlements.
