(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Copyright and Performances (Application to Other Countries) Order 2012 (S.I.2012/799). The amendments made by Article 2(2) to add an entry relating to Jersey in the Schedule to SI 2012/799 are in consequence of the repeal of the provisions of the 1911 as they apply to Jersey and their replacement by Part 1 of the Intellectual Property (Unregistered Rights) (Jersey) Law 2011. The amendments to SI 2012/799 ensure continuity of protection in the United Kingdom of copyright works created in Jersey. No impact assessment has been prepared in relation to this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
