This is a saving of a line more then a preservation, as the seeds were very old and took a long time using a dropper to germinate the seeds. These are not like the Vietnam Black, these are weeping willow, curly, leafy, wild and long branches that grow up from the ground and drape over. The flowers are tight, with good resin, but very small glands. Most all phenotypes are green, with the occasional purple phenotype. If people save the seeds and keep breeding them together the purple phenotypes will become less recessive and become more typical. I saved this line in 2014, So these are a little more then 5 years old. These are no longer found in country of origin. My health isn’t great so this is a chance to get some out to the public. Only 10 packs were ever made. Purple and Red phenotypes have shown up as recessives. SPECIALS FOR NOVEMBER NANGARHAR AFGHANI (HEIRLOOM/LANDRACE) (TORA BORA AKA: WHITE MOUNTAIN) Nangarhar Province, Jalalabad Afghanistan, Tora Bora complex also called Spin Ghar (White Mountain) This Afghani line was tested/sowed in January to see how it handle shifts in hot and cold. 38 plants were grown, some smaller plants were culled. Lots of morphological differences, possibly from being along a trade route of the Kyber Pass from Afghanistan to Pakistani and India for centuries. Many of the plants were narrow leaf or medium to narrow leaf. Some more medium to broad leaf phenotypes did pop up. Many of the plants develop more broad leaves in vegetative stage and narrow as flowering is induced. Green is the most common but, many red phenotypes, purple phenotypes, pink and shades with pigments in the petioles, stems and branches are plentiful. These plants can get tall, over 9 feet tall if allowed and given the time and space to do so. These plants produce large hollow stems, some could be used as straws, hard round stems and branches, with little of the fibrous strands typical of many varieties of cannabis. Indicating this is a drug cultivar versus a hemp cultivar. 16 females were the final used in the production of this conservation. A very dark purple male with purple sepals, stems and petioles which bled purple sap was used as well as another male which was more red purple hued. There was other males and females which were to be used but extreme weather, bouts with feral feline species and a world pandemic, limited the use of all the plants started for this run. Overall, this is a great line for breeding, as the pigments and colors and the narrow leaf phenotypes are not as common in many of the Afghani lines available today. There was also a chocolate phenotype with very leafy flowers. Many of the plants had pine aromas, musk, perfume, incense, a mix of sweet forest and grasses with exotic spices. Funky, aromatic, resinous, these could be smoked as flowers or sieved as hash. The best plants could be selected for some very interesting line breeding. 2 harvests could be made if planted in December or January a early harvest of March if weather permits, smaller plants. If planted in April to June, harvest in October to November for most plants. Some of the longer flowering phenotypes could run into late November and even December. Though this isn’t common and the majority of plants will finish in October to early November.
