INSTITUTE OF FILM & VIDEO TECHNOLOGY, MUMBAI & MEWAR UNIVERSITY, CHITTORGARH (Rajasthan) PROSPECTUS for JOINT PROGRAMMES ABOUT THE IFVT: There has always been a mad rush of people aspiring to join the glamour world of Cinema and Television. However, there is no clear cut path carved out for their entry other than through the Film Institutes established by the Government. There is always a need felt by the Production Houses to have trained film makers and technicians for quality film and Television productions. Considering this huge requirement of trained professionals many private institutes have mushroomed in various places. However these Institutes also lack the trained faculty in various departments of film making. This has prompted few graduates from Film and Television Institutes of India to come together and thus the Institute of Film and Video Technology was established with a sole objective of providing professional education in Cinema and Television Technology. The IFVT endeavors to take Cinema Education to the places where Cinema is not made and Cinema is not taught. IFVT opens a window of opportunities to those who have no access to the world of Cinema. OUR MISSION: To strive to give Cinema Education a Professional status Equivalent to other professional Degrees such as Medical, Engineering, Computers etc by providing a Bachelors degree in Cinema & Television with Master’s degree & PhD in cinema thereafter. FACILITIES AND SERVICES: IFVT draws its highly experienced faculty from internationally renowned Film Institutes and from the film industry. Apart from the permanent faculty, the IFVT has tie ups and arrangements with reputed artistes and technicians from the film world to train & share their experiences with the students.

  • Risk in Output Growth of Oilseeds in the Rajasthan State: a Policy Perspective
Agricultural Economics Research Review Vol. 18 (Conference No.) 2005 pp 115-133 Risk in Output Growth of Oilseeds in the Rajasthan State: A Policy Perspective P.K. Jain1, I.P. Singh2 and Anil Kumar2 Abstract Today, India is one of the largest producers of oilseeds in the world and this sector occupies an important position in the agricultural economy. Rajasthan state occupies a prominent place in the oilseeds production of India. The important oilseed crops of the Rajasthan state are groundnut, soyabean, rapeseed & mustard, sesamum and taramira. The growth pattern of these crops in the state has been prone to risk over time and across the agro-climatic regions because of the rainfall behaviour, prolonged drought- periods, limited water-resources and facilities available in the state Under such a situation, growth performances of these crops are subjected to high degree of risks in the sector. Therefore, it is important to describe the growth pattern of area, production and productivity, factors affecting acreage allocation under crops and magnitude of instability as well as its sources in major oilseeds crops of Rajasthan state. The fluctuating yield has been seen for almost all the oilseeds crops. However, the area and yield instability of the mustard crop has been found declining overtime plausibly because of increase in irrigation facilities, location-specific technologies and better input management. However, this needs to be further strengthened for improvement in the overall agricultural scenario. The acreage of the crops has been found to be governed by both price and non-price factors. Hence, price incentive alone has not been found to be the sufficient in bringing the desirable change in the cropping pattern as well production of crops.

  • 183 29 DRINKING WATER AVAILABILITY and MANAGEMENT: a CASE STUDY of SAWAI MADHOPUR DISTRICT Prem Sonwal Assistant Professor, Depa
Journal of Global Resources Volume 6 (01) August 2019-January 2020 Page 183-188 UGC–CARE Listed Journal in Group D ISSN: 2395-3160 (Print), 2455-2445 (Online) 29 DRINKING WATER AVAILABILITY AND MANAGEMENT: A CASE STUDY OF SAWAI MADHOPUR DISTRICT Prem Sonwal Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, SCRS Government College, Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan), India Email: [email protected] Abstract: Drinking water is an essential element for living. Article 47 of the Constitution of India makes it a top priority for the governments to provide safe and clean drinking water to every citizen of the country. In India, due to a 3-fold increase in population during 1951-2010, the per capita availability of water in the country as a whole decreased from 5,177 m3/year in 1951 to 1,588 m3/year in 2010. Supply of good quality water in sufficient quantities and safe sanitation practices in urban and rural areas are interconnected with the health and economic well-being of the people. Water used for the drinking purpose is known as potable water, which must be sparklingly clear, odourless, neither hard nor too soft and free from bacteria and impurities. In Rajasthan, 91 percent of the Domestic Water requirements of Rural / Urban Sector are being catered from Groundwater Sources and only 9 percent Water requirement is being met from surface water sources. In spite of poor quality and meager quantity, the groundwater resources in the state are the only most reliable and dependable source for sustenance of life. As a result of increasing population, urbanization, expansion of irrigated agriculture and other activities, the ground water level in Sawai Madhopur district has come under the category of 'over exploitation' category and the quality of water has also come down.
