5 Mencap - Sheffield Sheffield Mencap aims to improve the quality of lives for people with learning disabilities and their family carers.
The group helps members develop greater independence, make friends, increase confidence, find a job or have a fulfilling day through the different courses and projects that it runs.
There are many opportunities available ranging from cooking, arts and crafts, sports, drama and gardening. Members can also cook vegetables grown by the ‘Muddy Footprints’ gardening group.
In 2018, Mencap Sheffield received household cleaning products, toiletries, Christmas decorations, batteries, a toaster, vacuum and espresso maker, amongst many other items to run their services and give to beneficiaries.
