Dear Friends,

The visit to Cadolzburg in March was a full success in spite of the drastic temperature plunge of more than 20°C within twenty minutes right before the tour of the castle started. 20 members and friends attended, and 9 of them were Americans. The tour was excellent and held in English by a very competent guide. It was followed by a nice get-together with fine food and “Gemütlichkeit” at the restaurant “Bauhof”. We like to thank our board-member Brian Wrede who did the preparation of the event. ****

This year we will have our traditional wine tour already in June. But it will be again a half-day-bus-tour with an exciting by-program which will leave us nevertheless enough time to relax and for intensive communication. So please join us all to our

For the bus tour, entrance fee and guided tour at Würzburg Residenz and for wine-tasting with Häckerbrotzeit we will charge from members EUR 30,00. Guests are welcome and will pay EUR 40,00 per person.

As we will have to enter planning commitments please send your Reservation until Friday, 04. June 2010 to the secretary via e-mail, phone or fax (09131-991505).

The German-American Institute DAI is planning a bus-tour to Grafenwöhr/Vilseck on Mon- day, 14 June 2010. For details please see attached application form. Please make all ar- rangements directly with DAI.

We are sad to inform you of the death of Roger Dennison. Roger died on 19 March 2010. He was a founding member of the GAMC and served from 1977 to 1981 and again in 2001 as president of the club. In addition he was treasurer in 1976 and from 1983 to 1986. He was Honorary Member of the club. This listing only partly reflects Roger´s enormous and shaping engagement for the GAMC. At the mourning ceremony, the club´s condolences were ex- pressed to his widow Barbara by board member Eva Flasche and several club-members.
