Built by Djuro Djakovic of Slavonski Brod in Croatia in 1960. The Class 62 "Yankee Tank" steam locomotives were built from the pattern of World War II built S100 Class Shunters designed in 1941 by Colonel Howard G Hill of the US Army Transportation Corps.

History : The S100 class of engine was used by the Southern Railway, mainly for shunting in Southampton Docks, between the end of World War Two and the demise of steam in the 1960's. 14 (plus one for spare parts) were purchased by the Southern Railway from the United States Army Transportation Corps in 1946. Others saw industrial service with Austin Motors/BMC at Longbridge, the NCB and on the Longmoor Military Railway.

The class was very successful, proving powerful, economical to operate and relatively easy to maintain. During and immediately after the war, up to 400 were deployed across Europe and many were to become part of the locomotive fleets of railways in France, Greece, Hungary, Turkey, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. 106 of the original "S100" locomotives were taken into service after World War II to form Yugoslavian "Class 62". 90 further locomotives were built in Yugoslavia between 1952 and 1961 and added to the Class 62. Four original US built locomotives are preserved in the UK, one at the , two at the Kent & Sussex Railway and one at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

This loco was acquired from Store Steel in Slovenia in 1990 after only 25,000 miles in service. As the 15th Southern Railway/BR USA Tank it has been re-numbered 30075. It was transported to the Railway, where it was stripped down, overhauled and returned to steam in late 1992. After running for a couple of years, improvements were carried out in 1994, during a major overhaul. The locomotive suffered a major steam pipe failure in1998 and was withdrawn from traffic. It was then dismantled and moved to the in July 2002 and was returned to traffic in July 2004. It was relocated to the Mid-Hants Railway in August 2009 and visited the Bodmin & Wenford Railway, the Bristol Docks Railway, the Yeovil Junction Steam Gala, the and the . Following withdrawal due to leaks in the inner firebox, 30075 was eventually moved to Shillingstone Station in , for repairs in January 2016.

Condition : Undergoing full restoration to become an operational steam loco. Restoration : The boiler was sent to Vincent Engineering in Henstridge, Somerset in 2018 for overhaul. The latest update (June 2021) is that the boiler will be completed at the end of 2021. The remainder of the loco is undergoing restoration at Shillingstone.
