La Semaine De La Francophonie Au Qatar LA SEMAINE DE LA FRANCOPHONIE AU QATAR 16 - 22 MARS 2014 INSTITUTFRANCAIS-QATAR.COM Sous le patronage de Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-KUWARI, Ministre de la Culture, des Arts et du Patrimoine de l’État du Qatar. En partenariat avec : Et avec le soutien de : Nous avons l’honneur et le grand plaisir de fêter et célébrer la Semaine de la Francophonie 2014 au Qatar. Nous voici réunis pour rendre hommage à la langue française et à tous les francophones du monde. La langue de Molière occupe fièrement sa place au Qatar à côté de la langue arabe et des autres langues de communication. À partir d’aujourd’hui et durant une semaine, le public francophone pourra appré- cier des manifestations culturelles en français dans les domaines de la littérature, du théâtre, du cinéma et des autres formes de communication et de créativité. Nous nous en réjouissons, et nous vous invitons tous à cette magnifique fête internationale. Nous sommes ravis que Doha soit devenue une capitale culturelle et que la culture francophone y ait sa place. Bonne Semaine de la Francophonie ! Elle offre au grand public l’occasion de célébrer la langue française dans sa richesse et dans sa diversité, qui sont sa force. Les participants, ainsi que leur famille, seront reçus à l’Institut français pour une après-midi festive, agrémentée d’une prestation musicale des frères Lemay (Canada). Les gagnants du concours seront récompensés, leurs affiches exposées à l’Institut français et diffusées sur son site internet jusqu’à la fin du mois de mars, Semaine de la Francophonie. Don d’une sélection d’ouvrages canadiens à la médiathèque de l’Institut français Dimanche 16 mars, 16h00, Institut français du Qatar Dans le cadre de la Semaine de la langue française et de la Francophonie, l’Ambas- sade du Canada fait don d’une sélection de livres de littérature canadienne en langue française à la médiathèque de l’Institut français. Soyez les premiers à emprunter les ouvrages d’auteurs canadiens qui seront offi- ciellement remis ce jour par l’Ambassadeur du Canada auprès de l’Etat du Qatar et à venir découvrir une sélection d’ouvrages francophones récemment acquis. La médiathèque de l’Institut français dispose déjà de près de 8 000 références, et met à la disposition du public des livres, mais aussi des journaux et revues, des DVD pour enfants et adultes, et accueille une fois par mois les amateurs de littérature du Qatar dans le cadre de « Passion littéraire, un auteur, une œuvre ». Des Croisades aux Capitulations avec les sultans ottomans, la France sera d’abord la « protectrice » des chrétiens catholiques arabes puis, suite à la colonisation du Maghreb et de l’Afrique noire, une « puissance islamique ». Le résultat est sous nos yeux : une douzaine d’États musulmans ont le français pour idiome officiel, ou quasiment, et la France elle-même abrite en son sein la plus grande communauté arabo-islamique d’Europe. L’universitaire Catherine Croisy-Naquet (France) interviendra sur le thème Le Roman de la Rose, Manuscrit texte fondateur du roman allégorique français et Dr Nizar Roman de la Rose, BNF Chakroun (Tunisie) sur Le récit narratif dans le corpus de la poésie du Ghazal. Mona Hatoum : Turbulence Mona Hatoum interroge les notions de géographie, d’identité, de territoire et d’espace. L’exposition Turbulence, première grande rétrospective de cette artiste dans le monde arabe, propose une sélection de plus de soixante-dix œuvres. Elle met en lumière la diversité de l’œuvre de Mona Hatoum La Grande Broyeuse l’artiste qui comprend des installations, des sculptures, des photographies, ainsi que des œuvres sur papier. Etel Adnan : In All Her Dimensions Etel Adnan est une artiste libano-américainne, poétesse et essayiste. Hans Ulrich Obrist, commissaire de cette exposi- tion intitulée Dans toutes ses dimensions, présente un choix de plus de 160 œuvres d’Etel Adnan, dont des peintures, des dessins, des tapisseries, des écrits et des films, crées depuis les années 1960.
