Descriptions for each ornament were taken directly from the University Marketing Website and from inserts provided with some ornaments. Scope and Contents note This series consists of one boxed ornament per year. Arrangement note Arranged chronologically by year. Measures 3.2 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. General note This unique ornament featuring Old Main is the first in the series of Texas State-themed holiday ornaments. 1 2 Bobcat 2009 One ornament. Meaures 3.5 inches in diameter. General note Combine your bobcat and holiday spirit with a unique ornament featuring the iconic bobcat statue from campus, outlined by the Texas sky. This is the second in a series of Texas State-themed ornaments. 1 3 Rising star of Texas 2010 One ornament. Measures 3.2 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. General note Make the Rising Star of Texas part of your holiday celebration. This beautiful and festive star is the third in a series of Texas State-themed ornaments. 1 4 Texas State seal 2011 One ornament. Measures 3.2 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. - Page 6 - Commemorative ornaments General note The Texas State seal features a lone, faceted five-point star embraced by a wreath of native oak leaves, symbolizing strength, and laurel leaves, symbolizing victory in knowledge. Both trees are indigenous to this area and abundant on campus. This fourth in a series of Texas State-themed ornaments. 1 5 Archway 2012 One ornament. Measures 3.2 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. General note Features the archway of the new Undergraduate Academic Center. Auctorias: A sense of one's social standing built up through experience, industriousness and service to others. Gravitas: A sense of dignity, seriousness, and learning. Veritas: Truthfulness. Honesty in dealing with others. These shared academic ideals appear on the archway of the new Undergraduate Academic Center, home to the Personalized Academic and Career Exploration (PACE) Center. Students who step through this portal enter an environment that will prepare them for success at the university and beyond. 1 6 Supercat 2013 One ornament. Measures 3.2 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. General note A symbol of fierce Bobcat pride, the Supercat logo has represented Texas State Athletics since student Brad Monk designed it in 2003.
