This year the Humpty Dumpty Foundation will celebrate 25 years of fundraising, helping save the lives of sick and injured children in hospitals across .

After six years of community fundraising, Humpty was officially established in 1996 by Executive Chairman Paul Francis OAM. The children’s charity had a simple mission HELPING – to raise money to purchase vital and often life saving medical equipment for children and babies in hospital.

To date, Humpty has provided medical equipment to Paediatric Wards, Neonatal Units, Maternity and Emergency Departments in 229 hospitals and health service centres right across Australia.

It is through Humpty’s Wish List that countless pieces of medical equipment have been delivered directly to INkids hospitals to help save lives. Humpty also funds various Special Projects, including Graduate Doctor Training and Nurse Educator Roles, as well as supporting holistic HOSPITAL healing environments. Humpty relies heavily on the generosity of corporate and community donors who involve themselves in Humpty’s fundraising initiatives and events that are highlighted on the pages that follow.

If you want to see what Humpty does, then take an old fashioned road trip. That is what Paul Francis and I have done for the past four years – it’s a pretty rewarding experience.

We have driven over 2000kms visiting Far North Queensland, right down to the NSW Mid North Coast, stopping off at hospitals and remote community health centres in Far West NSW. You get lots of smiles and too many “Thank Yous” from grateful medical teams who sometimes think they’re forgotten.

Well, we assured them that they’re not. Day after day we saw the badly-needed and even life saving medical equipment that Humpty’s generous supporters had donated.

All they wanted to do was thank Humpty and its family of donors for their generosity and tell us what a difference YOU make in saving children’s lives. It really is a very humbling experience.
