Brits – Ten men responsible for a cash in transit (CIT) heist which occurred in Majakaneng were denied bail when they appeared before the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 June. CIT ROBBERS Lucky Michael Zwane, Kenny Kubheka, Takalani Michael Lusinzi, Mbulelo Trevor Mzizi, Siphamandla Magubani, Wanda Yende, Reuben Mulenje, Dannyboy Moshoeu, Tshepiso Dire, and Mxolisi Boqo were arrested on DENIED BAIL 7 June following a shootout with police detail. The suspects, who were travelling in an Audi, allegedly forced a cash van off the road near the Majakaneng bridge. They forced open the doors of the vehicle, helping themselves to the cash. In the meantime, the driver of the vehicle escorting the cash van was involved in a shootout with the suspects. “The suspects then hijacked a vehicle in the vicinity and fled the scene in a number of vehicles with an undisclosed amount of money. CEO ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT FUND In support of local economic development, a CEO Enterprise Development Fund was created in March 2020. The objective of this fund is to assist our local entrepreneurs’ entry into the Group’s supply chain and to promote alternative economic endeavors. This is for SMME’s that are required to purchase assets and/or goods in order to deliver on a purchase order issued by the supply chain function.
