COST ECONOMIES OF PROJECT Details Amount • Villagers are provided with low cost purified water at 1/4th price (Rs 5 i.e 6 Euro Cents for a 20 litre Initial Fixed Cost €30000 water can) Annual Recurring Cost €2500 • Water Entrepreneurs acting as distributors get this money to cover their transportation costs & earn Annual Savings on cost of €12500 revenue upto €2500-€5000 per year without any internal consumption investment Time taken to recover 3 years • WCL saves money spent on purchase of bottled costs water from external agencies of amount €12500

The investment of €30000 has been recovered within 3 years of its operation

Through Hybrid model, WCL is not just investing in water plant but also maintaining it and is able to provide low cost purified water to villagers and also create new age water entrepreneurs who earn revenue without any investment REPLICATION STRATEGY

RO plant utilises mine discharge water from Mine Water Patansaongi UG mine which discharges – Availability for 222 Mil 190,000 liters/day community use Ltrs/Day

Total Mine Water discharge of Western Coalfields Limited – 377 Million Ltrs/day

• Another RO plant of similar capacity(10000 liters/hour) installed in Waghoda Village presently serving population of 10,000. • Plans for commercial launch of Coal Neer in the market at a very nominal cost REPLICATION STRATEGY
