IMG RENEWS MEDIA DISTRIBUTION DEAL FOR THE TOUR DE ROMANDIE

LONDON (January 22, 2018) – IMG has renewed its global media rights contract with Swiss company Chassot Concept by Richard Chassot to distribute the prestigious Tour de Romandie cycling event in a multi-year deal across all platforms, and has already secured a number of deals for the next two years.

The 72nd Tour de Romandie, which is part of the UCI World Tour, runs from Tuesday, 24th April to Sunday, 29th April 2018. Broadcast deals have already been secured with pan-regional partnerships with Discovery/Eurosport, DAZN, OSN, KWESE Sport, SuperSports, FUBO.tv, ESPN and TDN.

Dating back to 1947, the race features a prologue and five stages in French-speaking . Last year’s race was won by Australia’s , with England’s in second and ’s Primoz Roglic in third.

The prologue will take place in Fribourg, followed by stages from Fribourg-Delémont and Delémont- Yverdon-les-Bains, before the time trial between Ollon and Villars. A mountain stage loop around Sion follows before the final stage in Mont-sur-Rolle-Geneva, with the traditional royal finale on the Geneva docks on Sunday 29 April.
