BLYVOOR GOLD (PROPRIETARY) LIMITED (“Blyvoor Gold”) is a single-purpose gold mining company that is investing in the reconstruction and mining of the Blyvoor Gold Mine which ceased operation in 2013.

During 2015 and 2016, Blyvoor Gold bought the mining right and some of the surface assets. The assets purchased were those considered to be essential to bring the underground and surface tailings retreatment operations back into production. Although some of the assets on surface had been subject to vandalism, the world class nature of both the underground and surface mineral resources allow for healthy investment returns to be made from the capital investment required to reinstate the operations.

Blyvooruitzicht Gold Mine, in its heyday during a three-decade period in the middle of the 20th Century, was the richest of the South African gold mines with recovered grades averaging over 14 g/t. In 1996 the Blyvooruitzicht Gold Mine merged with its neighbouring mine, Doornfontein Mine. From inception these two underground operations have produced a combined 1,767t of gold, with an incredible 825t of gold (26.5m ounces) SAMREC/JORC compliant resources still remaining underground whilst the surface tailings dams contain a further 1.3m ounces of SAMREC/JORC compliant resources.

The Blyvoor Gold Mine is located 75km south west of in the Province of . It lies approximately 6 kilometres (km) south of and 14 km north of in the Merafong Municipality within the Magisterial District of . The Blyvoor Gold Mine operations will be centred around No. 5 Shaft whose co-ordinates are 27°20'39.11" East and 26°25'41.88” West.
