Most recently, Fargo’s Raiders posted a record of 17-15-6 in the 2019-20 season including a mark of 11-8-3 in ECAC FARGO’S COLGATE CAREER play. Colgate earned the sixth seed in the conference tournament. Following the season, three freshmen were named to ECAC’s All-Rookie Team and one was tabbed CAREER HIGHLIGHTS Third-Team All-League.

Fargo now owns a career head coaching record of 231-142- 34 (.609), including a mark of 146-119-23 (.547) at Colgate. - 2017-18 Division I National Coach of the Year Fargo continued to keep the Raider in national prominence - Led Raiders to first ECAC Regular Season title, NCAA during the 2018-19 campaign, where Colgate started the season with its highest preseason ranking in program Tournament, and Frozen Four Appearance in 2017-18 history at fifth in the country. - Coached Olympians Livia Altmann & Nicole Gass Throughout the course of the season, the Raiders won five games against ranked opponents, including a regular (Switzerland) season sweep of the defending national champion Clarkson Golden Knights. That helped them finish the regular season with the number two seed in the ECAC Tournament on the COLGATE HEAD COACH - eight SEASONS strength of 15 conference wins and 23 victories overall. YEAR OVERALL ECAC HOCKEY POSTSEASON During the season, a trio of Raiders were drafted into the NWHL. Jessie Eldridge and Olivia Zafuto were both taken by the Buffalo Beauts and Bailey Larson was chosen by . 2012-13 11-21-3 6-13-3 ECAC Quarterfinals A bevy of players were honored with postseason awards. Four players were named to ECAC all-league teams and Eldridge was named a finalist for the league player of the year award, 2013-14 10-22-2 7-15-0 -- Zafuto was a finalist for defenseman of the year and Tanner Gates was chosen as a finalist for the league rookie of the year award. Eldridge was also chosen as a third team All-USCHO player and Gates was named to the All-USCHO all-rookie team. 2014-15 7-25-2 4-16-2 -- Fargo was named the 2017-18 Division I National Coach of the Year by both the American 2015-16 22-9-1 12-5-5 ECAC Semifinals Hockey Coaches Association and USCHO.com.

Under the direction of Fargo, the Raiders experienced several new program firsts in the 2017- 2016-17 22-11-3 13-8-1 ECAC Quarterfinals 18 season. The Raiders finished as national runner-up and with the No. 2 spot in both the USCHO.com and 2018-19 23-10-5 15-4-3 ECAC Semifinals USA Today/USA Hockey College Hockey Polls, the highest ranking in program history.

Four Raiders were tabbed All-ECAC Hockey performers: Lauren Wildfang (First Team), Jessie 2019-20 17-15-6 11-8-3 ECAC Quarterfinals Eldridge (Second Team), Julia Vandyk (Third Team) and Shae Labbe (Third Team). Wildfang and Breanne Wilson-Bennett received national honors, receiving All-USCHO Second Team honors. 2020-21 2-0-0 0-0-0 Fargo and the Raiders recorded a program-high 34 wins. This comes on the heels of them recording back-to-back 22-win seasons, which were then program bests. Totals 148-119-29 87-72-17 During the 2016-17 campaign, Fargo led the team to a program record 13-game unbeaten streak and seven-game winning streak. The Raiders had three separate winning streaks of five games during the season. In addition to the team success, Fargo coached ECAC Hockey Third Team selection Jessie Eldridge. As a team, the Raiders had a program record 18 players named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team. In the offseason, three-time Annika Zalewski became the first Raider drafted into the NWHL when she was selected by the Buffalo Beauts in the fourth round and 14th overall pick.

Colgate posted a 22-9-7 overall record for a .671 winning percentage in the 2015-16 season. Both the victory total and percentage were program records, and the Raiders also made history by finishing fourth in the ECAC Hockey standings and hosting a league tournament quarterfinal series for the first time. The victory also was Fargo’s 50th behind the Colgate bench and boosted the Raiders into the ECAC Tournament semifinals for just the second time in program history.

Colgate finished 12-5-5 in ECAC Hockey and returned all 10 of its double-digit scorers for the 2016-17 season, including nine underclass student-athletes. Fargo believes 2015-16 was just the first step the program’s path to championship competition.

In addition to Fargo’s success with the Colgate program, he also earned kudos as an assistant coach for Canada’s Under-18 National Team. The Canadians earned a silver medal in January at the 2016 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, and Fargo continues to be an important part of the women’s amateur hockey program in his native country.

Prior to Colgate, Fargo spent four seasons as the successful head coach at Division III Elmira (2008-12). He recorded an 84-23-5 (.772) record at Elmira, including a Division III-best 24 wins during the 2008-09 season. Fargo led Elmira to the brink of an NCAA championship in both 2009 and 2010, finishing with second- and third-place trophies and capturing a pair of ECAC West championships in the process. He earned 2009 ECAC West Co-Coach of the Year honors and was a two-time nominee for AHCA Coach of the Year.

Fargo is a 2006 graduate of Elmira, where he received a bachelor’s degree in adolescence education and social studies. In his goaltending career at Elmira, Fargo helped the Elmira earn two appearances in the ECAC West Championship finals and NCAA Division III Frozen Four. Fargo left holding the all-time career saves and minutes-played records at Elmira, recording a ASSISTANT COACH ASSISTANT COACH combined 2,565 saves in 5,123 minutes during his four seasons. When he departed, his 2005- 06 save percentage of .926 was the all-time best at Elmira, while his goals-against average in STEFAN DECOSSE CHELSEA WALKLAND that same season ranked him second in the program’s 34-year history. Following graduation, Fargo served on the men’s coaching staff at Canisius, where FIFTH SEASON SECOND SEASON his responsibilities with the Golden Griffins included the planning and implementation of game and practice plans, as well as scouting, video analysis, community outreach and recruiting.
