Our specialist caseworkers can support you in your chosen caring role; making sure that your own needs are recognised. Our caseworkers can offer 1:1 support, as well as support over the phone, in a variety of community languages. We can also organise the use of a translator if necessary.

They also support any carer from any background/religion both men and women. They offer a wide range of weekly activities for Asian women and children. Children must be accompanied by mother/carer, if under 11 years of age.

The services offered by LMCP include: Visit older people in their homes to offer advice and information. Inform them of services available to them in Manchester. Provide them with practical help. Discuss social and health care services with staff. There services are free and completely confidential. Information would only be shared with others after discussing with the service user. Page 5

They have a range of different sessions and courses for the Bangladeshi community. They offer drop-in sessions that are held Monday to Friday 9.00am-3.00pm.

They also offer a mental health project that can help in two ways: Drop-in sessions– these are held at the Philip J. Davies Centre on Holland Road. A meal is provided at each session and they give carers the chance to receive and give support, socialise and get involved in outings and events. They are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 5.30pm-8.30pm. Individual support workers offer one-to-one advice on managing appointments, help with daily living, social skills and budgeting and benefits advice.
