The Cornwell Scout Badge
This rare award is made to Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorer Scouts and members of the Scout Network in respect of great heroism or pre- eminently high character and devotion to duty coupled with great courage and endurance.

Gallantry Awards
Awards for gallantry are made by the Chief Scout for acts which would normally include an element of personal risk. There are three levels of award – The Bronze Cross, The Silver Cross and The Gilt Cross. In 2009 The Bronze Cross, the highest award of the Association for gallantry, granted for special heroism or action in the face of extraordinary risk, was not awarded.

Meritorious Conduct Awards
Awards for meritorious conduct are made by the Chief Scout for conduct involving a high degree of courage, endurance, initiative or devotion to duty, often under suffering, without necessarily involving any element of risk. There are two levels of award – The Medal for Meritorious Conduct and The Chief Scout’s Commendation for Meritorious Conduct.

The Medal of Meritorious Conduct is awarded for meritorious conduct of an exceptionally high standard.
