Lincolnshire County Council has frozen its rate again, which means you will be paying exactly the same towards the delivery of its services as last year. At Band D this is a charge of £1,065.69. The Lincolnshire Police & Crime Panel Commissioner has increased the rate for policing by almost 2% which makes its charge at Band D £193.86, up £3.78 over the year. North Kesteven District Council has increased its charge by 1.93%, which makes the Band D charge £142.74, up £2.70 a year - little more than 5 pence per week. This maintains the District Council’s part of the bill within the lowest 25% of all local charges in the country. At Bands A to C, which account for more than 77% of homes in North Kesteven, this gives an annual increase of £1.80 at band A, £2.10 at Band B and £2.40 at Band C, or between 15 and 20 pence more per month to receive the services provided by the District Council. In addition to the charges detailed above, in most areas extra charges are imposed for parish and town council expenses. These have changed by variable amounts so, depending on where you live you will be paying fractionally more, significantly more, no more or even less than you did last year for the services provided by your local parish or town council. Council Tax is always quoted at Band D for comparative purposes.
