M. Sc. Botany 1976 University of Mysore, Mysore, India. Specialized in the Mycology and Plant pathology. Worked for a seminar on Mycotoxins. Stood first to class

Ph.D. Botany 1981 University of Mysore, Mysore, India. Worked on Epidemiology of Downy mildew, Anthracnose and Sooty stripe diseases of Sorghum.

Major Achievements - Administrative Experience

From March to July 2007.  Professor of Biology University of Asmara, Eritrea for three semester periods (1997 –1998).  Professor of Mycology & Plant Virology in Alemaya University, Ethiopia for one semester period (2003).  Professor of Biology, Tabuk University, Saudi Arabia (2 years & 7 months)  Reader in Botany, Gulbarga University, for three years (1991-94)  Lecturer in Botany, Gulbarga University for ten years (1981–91).  Visited Switzerland, Mexico, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and other countries to present research papers in International conferences  Chairman, P.G.  USA : Worked as Visiting Professor, Dept. of Plant Pathology, University of California, USA.  Eritrea : Worked as Professor of Biology in University of Asmara for three Semesters (one and half Years (1997-1998).  Ethiopia : Worked as Professor of Mycology in Alemaya University, for one Semester period ( March - April, 2003).  Mexico: Attended 3rd International Global – 2000 conference on Sorghum and Pearl Millet diseases held in Guanajuato, 23 –30 September, 2000. Presented a paper on Sorghum Ergot.  Switzerland: Attended 5th International Conference on Aerobiology in Basel, 26 - 30 September, 1986. Presented a paper on circadian periodicity in the incidence of Grass and Parthenium pollen.  Saudi Arabia : Worked as professor of Biology in University of Tabuk  Belgium: to attend European Union Research project meeting on 4 -5 April, 2013.  France: Personal visit.

Consultant: U.S. Grains Council. Undertaken 23 days of Field Trip along with Prof. R.A. Frederickson covering 4600 km of road travel in South India to record prevalence of diseases of Sorghum. August – September, 2001. 7

Consultant: M/S Stanes & Co, Coimbatore, India. Tested the efficiency of their product v.i.z. Bacterimycin - 2000 in controlling bacterial diseases of Sorghum.
