For the past year, Daniel Ogunshakin has covered FIRST many of the island’s world-class international PERSON sporting events for the Gazette and has become heavily involved in promoting the island’s semi- professional football team, Phuket FC. As a sports enthusiast and promoter, the action on offer this past year has brought him great pleasure. However, rallying local support for sporting events on the island has been an uphill challenge. In this week’s First Person, he outlines his views on Phuket’s sporting environment.
