Do you have a project that would benefit from an SAI Impact Project Grant?

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc. is offering matching grant funds to a college or university music department in cooperation with a Iota chapter for a major project in music.

• Impact Project Grants are awarded in support of major projects in music which will have impact beyond the confines of the campus. Examples of recent winning projects: ♫ “The Healing Power of Music” – Theta Gamma Chapter, U of Texas- ♫ “At War With Ourselves: A Musical Residency Performance Exploring Race Relations” – Chapter, U of ♫ “Rachel Barton Pine Residency” – Beta Epsilon Chapter, U of Evansville ♫ “Musical Outreach & Audience Development via Online Streaming” – Zeta Nu Chapter, U of Texas-Arlington • This grant provides up to $5,000 in matching funds and must be used during the 2020-2021 academic year. • It must be a joint project with the SAI collegiate chapter and the school. • The funded project must be executed as proposed. • This grant may not be used for scholarships or tuition. • Only one proposal may be submitted in any academic year. • Matching resources provided by the school may be in money and/or in-kind contributions. • The applying SAI chapter must be in “good standing” with the fraternity. • The application must be prepared jointly by the Sigma Alpha Iota chapter president and the music department head or another authorized official. • Selection will be made on the following basis:  Potential impact of project on the larger musical community  Feasibility as outlined in the application  Originality

The application is now available online and must be submitted no later than MARCH 15, 2020.
