COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS | 7 This year, more than 1,500 students made the City Club their classroom and attended forums for free, thanks to generous donors to our Student Participation Fund. Some of these forums were produced by the City Club Youth Forum Council, discussing everything from the Supreme Court, to women’s immigration rights, to the role of a free press. The Youth Forum Council is open to all high school students and, for more than 20 years, has allowed students to explore civil, civic dialogue.

We also awarded more than $4,000 in scholarship prizes to high school students through the annual Hope & Stanley Adelstein Free Speech Essay contest. And we once again hosted the Annual High School Debate Championship, which made history this year, featuring two female debaters. THE CITY CLUB OF CLEVELAND

When I first moved to Cleveland six years ago, the City Club quickly became my go-to resource to learn about the Cleveland landscape and the challenges and opportunities it was facing. I attend forums to expand my network and often to lunch and learn with donors. Its
