STREAKING Nathan MacKinnon has a point in all 10 games this postseason, matching the longest playoff point streak in franchise history. Joe Sakic had points in 10 straight games in 1996 and Marian Stastny did the same in 1982 with Quebec. Like MacKinnon, Sakic’s 10-game run in 1996 was also achieved in postseason-opening fashion. MacKinnon's streak is the longest in the NHL this postseason.

GETTING OFFENSIVE The Avalanche tallied 22 goals in the first round series against Arizona, tying the franchise record for a five-game series. The Quebec Nordiques also scored 22 in the 1985 Division Semifinals vs. Buffalo. It was the most goals by any team in a five-game series since the Penguins tallied 22 against Ottawa in the 2013 Conference Semifinal. Colorado wrapped up the series with consecutive 7-1 victories in Games 4-5, scoring seven goals in back-to- back playoff games for the first time in franchise history. The Avs were the first NHL team to score seven-plus goals in consecutive playoff games since the Flyers in the 2012 Conference Quarterfinal versus Pittsburgh and became the fourth team in NHL history to do so in the final two games of a series (see chart below). It was the first time in NHL history a team has won the final two contests of a series by six-plus goals.

The Avalanche set a franchise playoff record by allowing just 14 shots-on-goal in their Game 1 win and gave up only 15 in Game 4, tied for the second fewest ever. Colorado fired 51 shots-on-net in the Game 3 loss, just the sixth 50+ shot performance in franchise playoff history and only the second in a non-overtime finish (Game 3 of 2019 FR vs. Calgary). Colorado's +28 shot differential in Game 3 (51- 23) was the largest in franchise playoff annals.
