We have had four projects delivering across our region - from Aboriginal story-telling, to creative writing to visual arts education. We welcomed the team from Engagements and Partnerships from the newly formed Create NSW (NSW State Government) to our region. Arts North West also went out on the road to deliver its Creative Roadshows - providing professional development opportunities to artists and organisations in our region. ARTS AND DISABILITY BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE NETWORK FOR ARTS AND DISABILITY IN THE REGION Arts North West and Accessible Arts launched Enabling Creative En ble Communities: A Regional Arts and Disability Manual at the Gunnedah Arts Civic Centre in May, the result of a 2 year Regional Partnership between Arts North West, Arts Northern Rivers and Accessible Arts NSW. To celebrate this achievement the official launch incorporated a solar print art activity and a morning tea with members of the Gunnedah Community, Council and Disability Services. The Manual is a how- to-guide to deliver arts and disability projects and events in regional including project development, marketing, and accessibility plans. It comprises step-by-step processes, templates, resources as well as a number of case studies to assist organisations and individuals to develop their own arts and disability events in their communities. SUPPORT, ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE FOR ABORIGINAL ARTISTS AND COMMUNITIES SCHOOL-BASED ARTS EXPERIENCES The Rivers to Ridges project returned to the North West in June to document the oral histories in Tamworth. The Team including Arts North West Aboriginal Arts Officer Lorrayne Riggs, Videographer Brendan Blacklock and lead artist Loren Ryan spent time speaking with Uncle Neville Sampson, Stella Lamb, Donny Fermor and Len Waters learning about dreamtime stories, life growing up and the importance of family.

Charged!: The Story of the Battle of THE STUFF OF TALES Beersheba continued its journey, this STORIES FROM MUSEUMS IN THE NE/NW time visiting Jennings Public School where students enjoyed this hands- on arts experience, learning about the significant battle of the Light Horse.
