Site Description:

The Activities Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center is an Bird & Wildlife YES Supervised Swimming NO environmental education facility specializing in Crabbing NO Unsupervised Swimming NO coastal outdoor education.  An elevated Fishing YES SCUBA Diving NO observation platform provides visitors with outstanding views of the adjacent Shellfishing NO Historic/Cultural Interest YES marsh.  A boardwalk across a dune to Trails NO Waterfowl Hunting NO second observatiion  platform on the Walkways YES beach offer visitors spectacular views of the Facilities Sound and expansive intertidal flats where Access Pier NO Handicapped Access YES shorebirds often feed.  Fees are charged only to enter visitors center. From the West: Take I-95 North to exit 33, which is Ferry Boulevard. Continue onto Rte. 1 north Additional Site Information: across the Housatonic River into Milford. Turn right onto Naugatuck Avenue at the light. Turn right CT Department of Energy and onto Milford Point Road at the light. At sharp bend in road turn/stay right to continue on Milford Environmental Protection Point Road to end.
