NATIONAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

behalf of the NCCAA and the Board of Directors, I welcome you to the NCCAA Cross Country 0 nChampionship. It is exciting for all of us to have these institutions from across the United States at Cedarville University to compete in this National Championship. This event is just one of our 20 national championships and four invitationals sanctioned by the NCCAA. Over 13,000 student-athletes and 113 institutions make up the NCCAA and this event is an important part of our Association. Congratulations to each student-athlete and coach who participates in this cross country championship. Your partici­ pation in this tournament setting certainly represents many weeks of dedicated time and work. It is also a statement that you stand for the Lord while you compete. The NCCAA thanks Jeff Bolender and Paul Orchard, cross country coaches at Cedarville University, for their excel­ lent leadership in organizing and administrating this fine event. I am also very grateful for the time and dedicated work of the NCCAA Cross Country Committee and its chairperson, Ryan Sommers, cross country coach at Bethel College. Sincere appreciation goes to Dr. Alan Geist, Athletics Director, and Dr. Bill Brown, President, of Cedarville University, as well as their administrative colleagues, for their willingness to host a tournament of this magnitude. The NCCAA is simply about using intercollegiate athletics to serve the Great Commission. Events such as this help showcase that effort and we trust each of you will experience the NCCAA at its finest this weekend

Welcome to Cedarville University and the 2011 National Christian College Athletic Association's National Cross Country meet at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. We at Cedarville are delighted to be the hosts for this wonderful event. Congratulations to each participating student-athlete and coach for their accomplishments and success during the 2011 season.

May we use the opportunity this weekend to continue the commitment of each of the Christian colleges and universities involved in the NCCAA to magnify Jesus Christ in all that we do.

Date: Saturday, November 12, 2011 Women's -10:00 am· Men's -11 :00 am

Locker room/showers: Available in the Callan Athletic Center

Scoring: A team must have 5 runners finishing to obtain a team score. Only 7 runners may compete for each team.

Results: Posted at the course and available to coaches at conclusion of the meet. Results will also be available at the awards banquet, and online at http://yellowjackets.cedarville.edu

Awards: Presented at the banquet which begins at 1 :00 pm. The top 15 overall men and women will receive All-American plaques. The first place team will receive a banner while second, third and fourth will receive plaques.

In Division II, the first 5 men and women will receive plaques, and the winning teams will receive a banner.

Coaches meeting: 8:00 pm Friday, Nov. 11, at the Hampton Inn, Springfield, located off 1-70 @ exit 54 and State Route 72.

Team packets: Team packets with meet information and banquet tickets will be available at the course from 1 :00 pm till 5:00 pm on Friday, Nov. 11, and at the coaches meeting Friday night. Timing chips for each team will be available Saturday morning at the course.
