On June 24th 2020, Abudawood scheduled its Regional Town Hall where our Country Manager Mr. Agha Tarique connected with the leads and their direct reports of all departments to have an open discussion on the current state of the organization. The theme of the connect was “Together Towards Tomorrow” to emphasize that despite the global uncertainties and challenges, we will keep growing & achieving our goals and objectives. 53 team members connected virtually via Microsoft Teams for this informative and interactive session. ▪ Hats off to Hyderabad Kings, Peshawari Knights and Bhawalpur Royals ! Breakfree Club brings together employees from different departments and locations to share their coffee/tea breaks and interact virtually and has themed sessions with discussion on movies and shows as well as talent displays.

Fitness club provides virtual work out classes to the employees by a professional trainer with healthy discussions on Abudawood Pakistan launched clubs for its employees with improving lifestyle and diet. the theme of “Happy Hour” in July 2020 with an idea to build employee morale and engage them in refreshing virtual connects. The aim was to keep them motivated and boost their productivity despite the global pandemic challenges. The project has been initiated with three clubs: Breakfree Club, Fitness Club and The Agile Learning Club. Agile Learning Club offers bite size training sessions to employees in various fields and discussions on informative topics and books. These clubs are not only helping us in fostering employee engagement but also helping employees with common interests to bond with each other.

The session commenced with a light discussion over a cup of tea with Head of HR, Sabiqa Kiyani and Orientation Country Manager, Agha Muhammad Tarique. Building High Performance Teams True Colours & Emotional Intelligence Training sessions on Personal Grooming and Effectiveness commenced in June 2020 for supervisory employees. Families across the world are facing different issues during the pandemic, COVID-19. Striving to adopt better parenting practices, my wife and I wish to spend more time with our 2 daughters, one of whom is a newly born. In ADP, I am based away from hometown and my wife is a doctor who spends most of her time in Covid-19 Emergency & Isolation wards of Nishtar Multan Hospital since April. It is a lot to navigate for us, both of us being working parents. To keep our daughters safe from the prevailing virus, I was there to share the responsibility of looking after my daughters when my wife was working. Since April, I am looking after my kids 3 days a week. To deal with a newborn was a challenge which I accepted with the thought “this is what I’ve always wanted to do!” The way I have been managing work with kids, although quite challenging, I feel is the new normal. I have learnt how to carry, feed, burp & bathe a new born! All this time, managing work stress with kids’ energy around me was not a piece of cake, but it was definitely rewarding to spend quality time with my little ones.
