The 27 seniors on the football team had been dreaming of bringing home a state championship win for the past three years. On Nov. 22, this dream became a reality when the Golden Bears defeated Parsippa- ny High School 26-7 at a home game. The win crowned the football team as North I Group II state champions for the first time since 1983. The team also fin- ished the season with an 11-1 record as North Jersey Interscholastic Conference champions and North Jersey Interscholas- tic Conference Liberty champions. As a result of the win, the team was giv- en the opportunity to face off against Ve- rona High School at MetLife Stadium on Nov. 29. Although the team fell short with a score of 41-0, senior captain Anthony Lembo said it was a great feeling to play at a professional sports venue. “Running out of the tunnel with my photo from MVPSHOTS brothers and seeing the town cheer for us was a memorable moment,” Lembo said. Kanye West is known as one of the most controversial and interesting artists of the decade. After his “Life of Pablo” release in Cover from Def Jam Recordings 2016 and “Ye” in 2018, he exploded back onto the hip-hop scene. “Jesus is King” is Kanye West’s ninth studio album. It was released on Oct. 25.
