Let us now make our prayer to him: Reflection Points: Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It’s never too late to change. We can imagine what life was like for the four fishermen in the Gospel. Most days they went out to sea, caught netfuls of fish, sold them at market, then went home to their families. Nothing wrong with any of that. But with Jesus in their midst, this whole routine fell away. Every Franciscus bit of it paled in importance to spending every minute of every day with the one who changes the world. What is it? Do you find it easy to pray? Do you hear God’s voice in your daily life and know how to respond? Rom 8:34). The saints help all the faithful “to strive for the holiness and the perfection of their particular state of life”.28 Their lives are con- crete proof that it is possible to put the Gospel into practice. St. Andrew’s Mass on January 31st, 2021 Jesus told us: “Learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart” (Mt 11:29). The lives of the saints too are examples to be imi- tated. Saint Paul explicitly says this: “Be imitators of me!” (1 Cor 4:16).29 By his eloquent silence, Saint Joseph says the same.
