Franklin Pierce University Women’s Rugby Head Coach

Time Commitment: 3-4 weekdays for practices and 1 weekend day for games per week

Location: Franklin Pierce University Rindge, NH

Description: Franklin Pierce University Women’s Rugby Club is a student-run club sport. We are a Division II team with the Conference. The club was founded in 2006 and has continued to prosper since then. This year, we ranked third in our tier and went on to play in the Regional Semifinals in association with National Small Organization and placing first in the Women’s Black Division at Beast of the East. We play both a fall and spring season with our fall season being our main season. We strive to make sure that we are consistently playing good, clean rugby. Off the field, the team participates in study sessions, fundraisers, and various community service activities.

Requirements: • Must be level 200 certified with USA Rugby, but if you commit to being our coach, we can assist with paying for your certification • Needs to have experience playing rugby • Needs to have a clear understanding of the game and thoroughly know both back and forward positions • Needs to know have a clear understanding of how to play a 15s game and a 7s game • Good leadership, teaching, and communication skills • Must be willing to work well with captains, executive board members, and our club advisors • Frequently communicate with captains • Be up to date on the rules and regulations of our conference
